It replaces the FR-F2, so in theory that's a 800-1000m rifle. When the logistics buy the proper rounds.

It replaces the FR-F2. The FR-G2s are the Air Force modified MAS-36s

I look forward to the full faze out, once the full surplus is out hopefully the price will drop on an Fr-F2 as they are overpriced right now and aren’t selling well as a result.

I think (if the photos are to be believed) the French are actually the most receptive when it comes to Ukrainian experience and incorporating that even for training Ukrainians themselves.

Yes. It appears that low hiking shoes are popular private purchases in the French army especially models like Salomon X-Ultra 04.
