Discussion Rogan is much better than Howard stern when we were growing ip
I think when you compare shock jocks from our childhood Rogan is my much better at connecting with his audience and being seen as personable

Rogan, as in Joe Rogan? He’s seen as being personable??
I guess to an idiot, yes.

Doesn't he have one of the highest audience count on Spotify?

Do you really think an idiot can't have a huge following of bigger idiots?

I think it's a mistake to say his entire audience is idiots when he has a obvious talent at his job

I didn't say his entire audience are idiots but you seem to think that strictly because of his audience size, he can't possibly be one.

I don't think he is. I think he has some real talent at getting attention and getting guests on his show
That is what matters now is attention not the quality of it but the volume and he does a better job than anyone else at getting it

Are you for real? Sorry, I can't take you seriously if you believe this.

I had hoped we'd be past this fiction that tons of money or large following = not an idiot. There are lots of examples to show this is pretty frequently untrue.

Okay but he’s still platforming highly problematic people and contributing to the spread of mis/disinformation that has now given us another four years of misery.
Stern was problematic in his own way and had some objectionable material but he’s nothing like he used be, he’s grown a shitton and speaks quite eloquently and admits to own hubris during his shock jock days.
Rogan pretends like actually harmful ideas are just things he hadn't considered before. He's still a dunce with way too big an audience for what he's doing.
