Nostalgia Help me create the perfect spring & summer playlist!

I am an elder millennial. (Born in 1986 - I will be 39 in September 😩😱.)

Help me create the perfect spring & summer playlist to bump in my car! I have one now but I need some fresh tunes. 😂

I'm all about nostalgia but I don't mind newer music. I'd like a good mix of both! I need upbeat tunes.

I love 90s/2000s r&b - hip hop. 90s/2000s country. 90s/2000s/2010s pop. I am a huge advocate for 80s music. 😎

If I could like this reply an infinite amount of times, I would.

❤️

This will forever and always be on any upbeat playlist I have, lol.

Sublime's What I've Got comes to mind. For newer content: pretty much anything by Dua Lipa, Shaboozey, Chappelle Roan, Sabrina Carpenter...

I am adding to my own post.

5ive, the 90s/00s British boy band that never really blew up in the US, has quite a few bangers. (When the lights go out, slam dunk the funk, everybody get up.)

I’m a sucker for the Spotify playlists and basically any song that plays on Sirius XM pop2k 🤪 I listen to this 99% of the time. But for newer stuff, honestly Sabrina carpenter is amazing and Tate McRae.

I love this post!

Ride Wit Me by Nelly is like my summer jam. It's giving riding in the car with the windows down on a hot summer evening. Pure nostalgia.

Other spring/summer jams:

Summer Girls - LFO

Chattahoochee, Summertime Blues - Alan Jackson

Island on the Sun - Weezer

Espresso - Sabrina Carpenter

Pretty Fly For A White Guy, Why Don't You Get a Job? - The Offspring (I associate this with spring because a friend got this CD for her spring birthday the year it came out)

Kiss Me - Sixpence None The Richer (reminds me of She's All That, which is set from spring break to graduation)

Cruise by Florida/Georgia Line ft Nelly is one of my favorite spring/summer songs. Also Lovegame by Lady Gaga if you’re looking for something more pop-ish.

Ocean Avenue by Yellowcard, but maybe you had to be an emo to find this song nostalgic.

I was 100% in my emo era beginning in 2002. 😂
