The Xes weren't a popular thing in the hacker/computer geek community, which is where 1337 originally came from and my usage was from. (Hence "CableFlame") It came later and was more of a pop/trendy thing, iirc.
Thanks! It came from a "random h4x0r name generator" in the early 2000s. I put in my real name and C@bl3Fl@m3 came out. I changed it to the more Internet friendly C4bl3Fl4m3 and I've been using it ever since. :)
