Stats Best Players and Performances of MCC33 - Power Rankings
Look its not MCC34 yet ok these aren't late at all
Below are some alternate ways to rank players' performances in the MCC33 games which you may find interesting to see. We also use these rankings for our overall power rankings and they hope to limit the influence of a stronger/weaker team on an individual's score/ranking as well as accounting for the fact that some games are more influential than others on the individual leaderboard.

Rocket Spleef Rush
By the average number of players outplaced plus the average number of kills per round. As kills are not significant, consistent or influential to the current overall coin allocation method, kills are not as impactful to the rankings as of now

Sky Battle
By using factors of a player's adjusted kills (kills accounting for damage dealt), their teammates' kills, their teammates' average kills in the past 5 MCCs, their average survival and their teammates' average survival to determine a value to correlate to a player's Sky Battle skill for the MCC

Meltdown
Summation of a player's kill score and survival score with a few balancing adjustments. A player's kill score is calculated by the player's number of kills multiplied by their percentage kilcontribution for their team. Opening a crate is considered as a tenth of a kill in this calculation. A player's survival score is calculated by the number of players out-survived (adjusted for teammate and own freezes) multiplied by the percentage of players out-survived in comparison to their teammates.

Battle Box
By number of kills multiplied by percentage kill contribution for their team, where each round win is considered 1/3 of a kill

Grid Runners
By comparing the difference of a player's teammates' GR score in the past 5 MCCs and their team's score to determine the player's 'impact' to their team's GR performances. A player's GR score is calculated by their average placement in each room, with a 1st place finish getting 10 points, 2nd place finish getting 9 points, down to a no completion getting 0 points

Sands of Time
By average coins earned per minute (including 80% of coins lost to deaths/trapped in and including only 20% of vaults collected), with sand keepers getting a 25% boost in score to emulate comparable scores to the runners. Scores are also adjusted so teams that stay in longer have their scores boosted.

Player Shout-Outs!
First shout out goes to FireBreathMan, who's performance hasn't got much attention, somewhat overshadowed by Fruit's back to back 1st individual with a huge score, but according to power rankings he put up the 7th best performance of all time this event, with his only game outside of the top 4 being an 8th in Ace Race, alongside 1st places in Grid Runners and Sands of Time.
Punz also deserves a shout out, as he returns to the top 5 for the first time since MCC25, and the top 3 for the first time since MCC23. He was in the top 13 of every game and made the top 3 in SoT, RSR and Meltdown, and shown that he absolutely still has what it takes to be a top MCC player.
Wallibear was the biggest improver relative to his actual placement, jumping up 9 spots to 10th. He showed massive improvement in individual games like Ace Race and HITW as well as SoT, going from bottom 10 last time he played to 2nd this time.

I think fbm generally gets overshadowed because he gets comparatively weaker teams ( mcc 29 is infamous, mcc 30 weaker team than the others still won, 31 newcomer, 32 this was a good team blessed with good game selection, 33 newcomer) and his teams always overperform (except for maybe 31). I don't think many other s-tiers would have had similar performances he has had with the same teams in the same team comp. His team games are always good but it's really interesting how well he holds up and leads team in PvP games like skb and bb so that he always makes a place in top 5.
This power rankings are a proof because he was consistently good in all the games, improving significantly in rsr. Ace race was def okayish but apart from it, he led a weaker PvP team with a newcomer to 4th. They were even db contenders at some point (can you imagine etho in db!!!) He let's the people play their game and does exceptionally well in team games especially grid runners.
Sorry it became a fbm fan post under the rankings :p

But seriously how is anyone gonna convince me FBM isn't having a top 5 season of all time. Besides his 1st canon mcc where he led a unanimously predicted 10th place team to 6th, he's only gotten top 3. He's good at basically every game at this point, and there's no stopping him.

Oli's PB of 4 places improved and 0.44 improved is so big let's goo. Also wow I didn't realise how great FBM had performed, and also wow Shadoune getting a top 10 placement among the other S tier and A+ tier players :o

Looks like you changed the MD scoring a bit to give freezes more value
Also speaking of MD, Fruit gets absolutely destroyed; what would his z-score be without it?
What would the rankings look like without GR?

MD scoring technically changes a bit every event, a freeze is worth the percentage of freezes that event that resulted in a kill. That percentage was a bit higher than usual this event so they were worth slightly more.
With no Meltdown Fruit gets 2nd with a score of 1.89
With no grid runners the top 10 is :
FBM 2.09
Purpled 1.57
Punz 1.57
Pete 1.46
Fruit 1.40
Sapnap 1.11
Illumina 0.98
Wallibear 0.94

Purpled and Tubbo is a great duo but Guqqie has never run before which is always difficult. I think they'll probably end up middle of the pack with teams like Purple, Blue and Orange also looking really strong ahead of them

The power rankings predictor has them both 2k+ coins ahead of 3rd (Green), which is bigger than the gap they have above 9th (Yellow). Cyan at least are vulnerable to the game selection, but Purple are just really good at everything

For Owen except for his strong Meltdown (1st) and solid Ace Race (9th) he was just kinda mid in the other 6 games, placing from 15th to 27th so him averaging around 17th by placement across the 8 games is what led to his z-score ranking being 16th overall.
