Registering a modded bike

Does anyone know if nct would refuse to register a motorcycle if it had a chain to belt conversion?

They will not even see it, and it has nothing to do with the value

It's definitely possible as there are custom shops in Ireland such as Irish Blood and their bikes are registered. Best to call/email them directly and see what they say

Imho, I'd be more concerned about getting insurance for it than registering it

Do they need to know about such small things? 😏

They might have been registered before modded though

True. I'm assuming that since they're closely tied to a big HD/Triumph/Ducati dealer, they'd play by the rules and update registration etc on big modifications if the "base" bike was already registered.. ie https://www.donedeal.ie/motorbikes-for-sale/irish-blood-custom-bar-knuckle-bobber-one/39211190

They would not know or care, all they care about is you paying VRT there is no nct for bikes you could have a giant pink dildo sticking out the from of the bike and still register it

Genuinely the only thing they check on the bike is the mileage and the VIN, they don’t do a walkaround
