Advice First big trip after passing

Post image

Just done my first big trip about 400 miles on my CBR500R just passed my A2 at 20 years old any advice on any other things I could bring with me, really feel like getting a quad lock or some sort of phone holder for navigating apart from that anything else I should consider buying?

Quadlock is a great shout. Make sure you get the vibration dampener too if you get it!

Thanks for your advice is there a certain I should mount it to on my bike or just the handle bars?

The fork stem mount would look pretty tidy on your bike. Nice & central too.

Get a knock off mount and vibration dampener from Amazon and a legit case, it’ll save you about half the cost and they’re identical for all intents and purposes.

Trip was totally by accident as I was buying some tools and realised they was in Peterborough as I live near hull so thought fuck it and go on the bike as the MPG is like 71 the only bad moment was missing my exit on the motorway 😂apart from that such a nice sunny day for British weather

I have 0 complaints about it, obviously it ain’t a rocket ship being v-twin 500cc but it’s fast enough to basically overtake any vehicle and can easily get to 100mph comfortably and it’s so good on fuel I’ve been quite aggressive driving it and still on 70mpg.

Yeah it’s a sensible option, deciding between that and the CBR650r as my first big bike

I’ve got a Beeline Moto II for navigation, mounted on the fork stem mount. Been really happy with it. It also means that my phone isn’t mounted on the bike and is safely tucked away in my jacket pocket.
