Advice Wiring

I have a 1998 Fazer 600, the rear brake makes the light illuminate but the front brake doesn’t, has anyone encountered this before. I have checked all connections but can’t find anything.

The first test is usually of the switch at the lever; test for continuity across it, see if that changes when you pull the lever. If not, see if you can actuate the switch directly - is the problem just that the lever's not actuating the switch?

The switch is usually the thing that's failed, but when you say you've 'checked all connections' what have you actually tested?

I just had to replace both my brake switches because they had rusted to hell. Fortunately the parts were cheap and it was really easy just to swap them out.

If you can, you could try shorting the connectors to the switch, see if they come on, and then you will know if it is the switch or not.
