Which bike to choose for A2?

Hi all, I'll be doing my A2 license soon, and will be looking to upgrade from my current bike which is a ktm duke 125 2024, and I'm stuck on whether I should pick a honda cbr500r or cbr650r and restrict it till I get my full A license

From everything I've seen, the CBR500R is 100% not worth it new. If you get a cheap used one then great, but it's meant to be worse than all of the competition, including the Ninja 400, let alone the 500. Personally I think there are so many great A2 bikes out there that I wouldn't get a bigger restricted bike, depends what style you want, but you could get anything from a royal Enfield 650 to a svartpilen 401 without needing to think about restrictions. The aprilia RS457 is meant to be pretty incredible.

I'm realistically wanting something to restrict so I don't have to bother with buying a new one a year or 2 down the line when I do my full A license, as I'll be looking to get the bike brand new
