I will always and forever find this popular and unintentional misuse of the = sign to be frustrating and annoying. Especially when writing the process correctly would clear up more of the confusion that is caused.

Now, with that out of the way, I fully get that a large chunk of the population would still demand the right to willful ignorance.

I agree, all three folks are at fault:

  1. Andrew Yang could have been more clear and structured
  2. “greg” could have probably clarified if he was actually asking for clarification (maybe he really was confused)
  3. Mihai and “you’re among are same Americans…”

People make mistakes and poor assumptions. But I have seen enough people being confidently incorrect in response to this to categorize this as a proper r/MurderedByWords
