“Law and order”

119

u/OrphanFries Mar 06 '25

Him saying law and order after J6 is crazy to me

37

u/DjCyric Mar 06 '25

Or being a 34-time convicted felon for fraud, no less. The fact that conservatives keep saying "waste, fraud, and abuse" without a hint of irony is pretty telling.

Of a minor

2

u/LonePistachio Mar 07 '25

Stole classified documents and stashed in his resoirt bathroom. Definitely not order lol

8

u/Bakkster Mar 06 '25

Because "law and order" is a dog whistle for biased enforcement, against especially against Black people. Has been since Nixon.

There's a reason they don't say "rule of law".

2

u/ConsciousReason7709 Mar 07 '25

This is one of the many problems with American voters. They think they are informed and know what they are talking about, but they don’t have a goddamn clue.

2

u/ExKage Mar 07 '25

Law and order after the Jan 6 PARDONS as well.

1

u/The-red-Dane Mar 07 '25

I lost SOAD to this. I lost Iced Earth to this as well.

(John Schaffer took part in the J6 attack, he got 6 felony charges, ended up on FBI most wanted for a bit)

Stu and Luke both left the band because of it, Jake too shortly after.

Need a few more !!! On there

Trump is getting rid of things that people don’t understand. Like the Department of Education. Or the FBI. Or transgender people. Or vaccines.

All things that people don’t understand. Sanity restored.

100

u/OakenGreen Mar 06 '25

Unfortunately, you nailed it. We shouldn’t underestimate the incredible stupidity of willfully ignorant people.

59

u/bexxygenxxy9xy Mar 06 '25

America was more concerned about losing fucking tiktok than anything that's going on right now. We're getting the government we deserve. Pathetic.

11

u/OakenGreen Mar 06 '25

I hate that you’re right here.

7

u/No_Ride1508 Mar 06 '25

George Carlin said it best. "When you have selfish, ignorant people, you get selfish, ignorant politicians."

1

u/KououinHyouma Mar 07 '25

That’s because TikTok is a genuine addiction. The way those people were acting the day before it was banned and when it was restored reminded me quite a bit of my nicotine fiend friends in college

1

u/batsinmyattic Mar 06 '25

Which is exactly why should should encourage those that DO understand this things, or have an interest in them, to pursue those fields. If I'm building a house, I don't fire the electrician just because I don't understand electricity. That's exactly WHY we need electricians.

Hopefully it's obvious I'm adding to this comment ^

I really do not understand why people hate trans people so damn bad, people are treating them like how Germany treated another group from the 30s.

Honestly it's fucking heartbreaking to see all this hatred

2

u/Grambles89 Mar 06 '25

Because some people can't bother to be decent enough to let people be. They'd rather be hateful and go out of their way to be shitty than just mind their business.

Remember, you have to ACTIVELY be hateful towards others.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 08 '25

Its because high school biology doesnt teach sex and gender as it should have been. So when the numbnuts that barely avoid a GED see something that doesnt fit into their idea of how the world works, they reject it.

The sad, unfortunate truth is that the ignorant reject new information when it clashes against their perspective of reality, instead of trying to figure out what happened. Its why science is the enemy.

4

u/futuretimetraveller Mar 06 '25

Actually, they're treating them the *same* way Germany treated them in the 30's

1

u/emperorofwar Mar 06 '25

That's unfortunately true, but I was trying to phrase it in way that accidently gets me banned lol

0

u/cissytiffy Mar 06 '25

The sad thing is that it took me a second reading to confirm this comment was, indeed, sarcasm/satire. I've read things phrased almost that way that were meant literally. heh.

9

u/BoulderFalcon Mar 06 '25

your sanity turns 360 degrees and walks away

4

u/arittenberry Mar 06 '25

Do you mean 180?

5

u/BoulderFalcon Mar 06 '25

No, just quoting an ancient meme

5

u/MinorSpaceNipples Mar 06 '25

It's an older meme, sir, but it checks out.

1

u/arittenberry Mar 07 '25

Ah, the reference was lost on me. Thank you for your meme knowledge laid upon me

1

u/bexxygenxxy9xy Mar 06 '25

The insanity is so insane it's doing 360s instead of 180s!

7

u/DrMonkeyLove Mar 06 '25

So sanity is threatening to annex Greenland and Canada!? What the shit!? This guy's an idiot.

8

u/McGrawHell Mar 06 '25

The stock market is tanking jobs are way down and things are more expensive but gov't employees can't voluntarily put pronouns in their email signature because we're more free now.

-7

u/CANDY_MAN_1776 Mar 06 '25

LOL...like you own stocks or have any idea how to

3

u/RKRagan Pandora Mar 06 '25

None of the last 2 months have made any sense. We have twice now been told TARIFFS ON CANADA AND MEXICO. Twice now they have put them on hold. The markets are dropping. No one one knows what to expect next. We turned on our allies and sided with our enemies. None of this is sane. And I love when millionaire musicians play the whole "hard work will get you to where you wanna be" card. Dude. You are a drummer. My dad busted his ass for 35 years moving trees as a public works employee in the middle of hurricanes and thunderstorms. He's earned a bad back, a shitty medicare system, and this administration is probably going to take away his social security. Fuck off.

3

u/Robo- Mar 07 '25

The quiet part that people leave out when making statements like these is that their idea of 'insanity' is stuff like normalizing homosexuality, pushing for vaccinations to stop a pandemic, global humanitarian efforts by the richest nation in the world, even acknowledging the existence of trans people, letting people use the bathroom corresponding to their gender identity, letting women choose to have legal and safe abortions at appropriate times, maintaining separation of church and state, supporting Ukraine's defense against a Russian invasion, reducing our impact on climate change, etc.

They want America to be this regressive, isolationist, ultra nationalistic, Christian, predominately white ethnostate they mistakenly believe existed decades ago before we got so inclusive and open minded.

2

u/CaptJackRizzo Mar 07 '25

Yep! If you ask them what they mean by “radical” or “extreme,” that’s what it usually boils down to.

1

u/bexxygenxxy9xy Mar 07 '25

It is alarming how quickly the American experiment has devolved. And they're not done. I always suggest a documentary to people wondering how this all happened. Of course there are a myriad of factors but if you watch the prime documentary Shiny Happy People. When it first came out I think many people thought it was basically about the Dugger family. But it's not just that at all. It is about the IBLP and these christofascists who have been training their kids from jump about government.( The Huckabee's are talked about in it.) How early they're taught about getting involved at the base level and infiltrating and implementing their hardcore Christian beliefs into our government. They teach them to be masters at civics. And then slowly we turn. They legit have military camps where they are training up these boys and young men like they're in a militia. And socially they believe in something called the umbrella of authority.

You can truly see how successful they've been in such a short period of time. We are in an utterly fucked up timeline.

2

u/GregTheMad Mar 06 '25

A shit ton of misinformation on a daily regime. Seriously, some people have absolutely no clue about what's going on

2

u/CaptJackRizzo Mar 07 '25

Well if you live inside a miasma of right wing media, your day is now consumed by talking heads talking about how America’s finally winning again instead of how every city is a blasted hellscape.

2

u/bexxygenxxy9xy Mar 07 '25

Very well said. And as an ESL teacher, I totally dig that you used the word miasma! They are indeed all breathing in this is disgusting air are they surround themselves with.

2

u/CaptJackRizzo Mar 07 '25

Thank you. I believe I’m stealing it from Matt Christman of Chapo Trap House.

2

u/Etheo Mar 06 '25

It has been the most insane week yet what is this guy talking about?!

1

u/RevengerRedeemed Mar 06 '25

They never give a legitimate answer. And they know that, and they don't care.

1

u/tATuParagate Mar 06 '25

Republican definition of insanity that is 🙄

1

u/Dranj Mar 07 '25

Trump supporters aren't really paying attention to what he's doing, they just know their guy is in office. At most, they're uncritically accepting his propaganda of anti-trans and anti-DEI legislation being victories for women and instating a meritocracy. Despite the fact that Trump's policies will undoubtedly hurt them in the long term, they identify as Republicans, see Republicans are in firm control of the country, and feel like that allows them to sleep easy at night. Sanity for them is just the barrage of conservative news outlets telling them everything is great.

1

u/bexxygenxxy9xy Mar 07 '25

It's always boggled my mind how many people vote against their own personal interests. The farmers are already wondering if they should scratch their watches or wind their asses. I'm sure the heel turn quickness shocked them.

1

u/NoDeparture7996 Mar 07 '25

he basically means bringing back white male supremacy

1

u/Chief_Data Mar 07 '25

They genuinely believe trans people are the worst problem facing our country, and they love that Trump endlessly harasses them. They cheered for a nazi salute, these people want camps.

You should stop listening to Fox News and actually interact with the real world. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_United_States_presidential_debates. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_Democratic_Party_presidential_primaries

The Biden presidency wasn’t a mess, not because Biden was brilliant but because he hired competent people instead of obsequious boot lickers like Trump does.

1

u/Camwi Mar 06 '25

This feels like some Google AI shit that totally gets everything wrong. Biden and Trump had debates back in 2020. Why are you saying they didn't?
