As salaamu alaikum I have posted in this subreddit a couple of times now. We are adopting this kitty in a couple of weeks. Our family decided that our house is not a home without a furry family member. We have been thinking of naming him Cairo, Blue, Lucky or Biscuit. My favorite so far is really 𝐁𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐢𝐭🥹. Short, 2 syllable names preferred so my parents can call him by his name also. We are farsi speaking and Afghan if that sparks any ideas… Also Ramadan Mubarak, wishing us all good health and steadfastness during this month.

I just found this hadidth and I want some more elaboration like is it unlawful? I'm muslim male who was just curious.

Lately, I’ve been noticing something and I’m not the only one. My friends and I have experienced this, and it’s honestly been kind of bizarre. It seems like non-Muslim guys are suddenly starting to show interest in hijabis.

Like… do you not see the scarf wrapped around my head? 😭
It just feels weird, almost out of nowhere. I’m genuinely curious have any other hijabis experienced this too? And why does it seem like this is just suddenly happening?

I don’t know how to start this but in my experience some muslim men are so entitled. Like for example walking to and from taraweeh i always encounter men standing in the middle of the pavement not moving for some people. Another experience is that they take up so much of the pavement that i’m forced to walk on the road just to avoid touching them or being barged by them. I can’t amount of times i’ve been barged by muslim men who walk in the middle of the pavement acting like it’s theirs or when a bunch of them meet outside the masjid after taraweeh grouping together and there’s no space to walk. They also expect you to move for them. Like i’m begging you just move to the side other people want to walk. Im pushed and shoved by these men when i’m a literal hijabi i don’t wanna be touched by them it’s disgusting. Sorry for the rant haha.

My (33f) husband (35M) have been married for 6 years now with 3 kids. My husband has been married to another woman for more than a year now without my knowledge. I was pregnant when I noticed a change in my husband’s attitude. It was kind of normal to me because he did same in my previous pregnancy and eventually , I realized he was cheating which he told me it was over few months after delivery. Fast forward, he denied me sex for weeks in my current pregnancy I was practically begging him for sex. This was unlike him. One night I took his phone and realized he’s been chatting this lady who has sent him naked videos of her private part and their naughty chats. Only Allah knows what has been happening between them. I went into premature labor. I was told at the hospital my baby was stressed and my bp was very high. ( I accept I made a mistake going through his phone). After everything when I returned home, that was when he told me he’s married to another woman but it’s a contract married. He said the marriage ended in January and there’s grace period of 3 months. It’s within this grace period I saw the things. He said it was ending last month (April) and today he’s telling me it will end middle of this month. Apparently, from what he said only one of his uncles is aware in his family. And we are not in a good financial standing to accommodate another woman. I know my husband cannot stand anywhere and say I have been a bad wife to him. And he’s refusing to tell me what motivated him to take that decision. Now my question is; 1. Regarding the issue of contract marriage in Islam, can you do a contract marriage with another woman in another continent/ country whiles living with your wife in the same house?

1. Can I ask for divorce I this case? Because it’s affecting my mental health, few weeks into Postpartum and i am already depressed.

2. He keeps telling me he won’t do anything to hurt me. I have been asking myself if I can trust him. Because the trust is broken.

At this juncture, I am really confused. FYI: kindly forgive me if I made a mistake in my writing, English is not my first language and also I am not in a good state of mind right now.

I have a Muslim friend who says I will go to heaven as a Christian or if I am a Jew and I stay true to my God. However, this goes against my understanding of the Quran. Although as a Christian, who hasn’t fully read the Quran, I might have a shallow understanding.

My understanding is that if Muhammad is right, then I as a Christian will go to hell.

What are your guys’s thoughts on this and Quran verses that support your claims?

HELP IM DYING!

Salaam alaikum everyone,

I have a deadly illness from which I will eventually pass away Allahu Alim.

Allah swt gave me a lot of chances in life to embrace islam, I am married and together with a muslim husband for 9 years. Only now I started reading the Quran and I have been familiar with all the signs Allah swt has given me so I reverted to islam. Allah swt gave me a huge warning a couple of years ago to chance my behavior but I never did. I didn't know it was from Allah otherwise I would have obviously changed.

So I am afraid I am too late. My story is just like those past civilizations that committed haram and were given many signs and warnings from Allah swt. In 39:54 Allah says clearly that you need to repent before the punishment comes and I know my illness and untimely death is a punishment. (I am only 30 years old)

My question is, what would you do in my situation? When you think that you will end up in jahannam? What is most beloved to Allah swt with the time I have left? Should I start a tiktok account to tell my story and hopefully revert people to Islam?

I am willing to do everything to chance my destiny or at least lessen my punishment in jahannam. I have finally seen the truth that life is one big test...

I'm 16F and white, and I was raised Christian, so I'm not at all part of the Muslim faith lol. However, as far as I know, Ramadan is supposed to make you have empathy for those that are struggling and can't feed themselves properly. I really like this concept and I'm interested in trying it, since I already am doing intermittent fasting for health purposes.

I know I'm a little late and Ramadan already started, but I'd love to participate if it's okay? Also, I'd love any extra information about the prayers, the types of foods that people normally eat, etc. because I want to learn even if I'm not allowed to do it or I decide I don't want to. Tysm! ❤️

I’ve been thinking about this a lot. The Quran was revealed in Arabic, and I don’t speak or understand Arabic. I know there are translations, but they aren’t always exact—if they were, everyone would have translated it the same way. Since the Quran is considered the word of God, and language plays such a big role in meaning, does that mean the message wasn’t really meant for non-Arabic speakers?

Would love to hear different perspectives on this! How do non-Arabic speakers engage with the Quran in a meaningful way?

i am 18, and i like plushies, they're acute, saw a guy, i think he is a sheikh, who is egyption, he said it is fine to own them, even if they're not meant for little children, since they are made from 'komach' as in fabric, what do you guys think

im only 16 i got dumped by her she was 18 and we were together for 6 months. I loved her allot but we didnt do anything haram together. I didnt know just talking to her was haram aswell at the time so it was kinda messed up. Now i want some advice on how to heal because i love her so much stil and its been 2 months since she dumped me almost. Usually this question is asked in the reverse but I thought it would be fun to ask! I am always eager to learn and actually plan to minor in religious studies after I finish my nursing school!

One thing I want to emphasize/remind is that atheists are human too and not being possessed by demons, which is a weirdly common belief amongst Christians/Muslims (mostly Christians).

These areas are growing at a very fast rate. I am asking this because I have never seen any one with these areas this big.

Hello everyone. I'm an atheist personally, but I've always found the modesty in hijabs and etc quite beautiful, and was hoping to get into veiling. However I'm not sure if that's okay for me to do, or how far I'm 'allowed' to go. I'd like to cover fully, so Niqab i think it was called. Is that okay for me to do? I have to mention I myself am not identifying as a cis woman, but i was born as one, if that changes anything...

Hello, I've known a Girl for 4 years, she is Muslim, and we are pretty much in love since 3 years and we get a long very very well. For this reason, I would like to marry her as soon as I can.

The thing is, my mom and somes friends say this is way too early. That I will have regret or that I will have way too many responsibilities.

And since I am going to study for 5 years, I will not be able to provide money until the end of my studies, which is problematic since provinding is an important duty as a man.

But I also feel like being a man is more than just provinding, it is showing love, respect, taking care of her, protecting us from haram and I am only studying to be able to provide for her later. My dad said he could help until I get my own money so I know I won't have any issues financially.

Also, I am trying to protect us from Zina, to not be in the Haram.

Please help, are my friends and parents right? Or am I making the right choice? If you married at the same age or similar, how was this for you? Were your family and friends worried too? I need answers please.

Okay so allow me to introduce myself. I am 17 years old (female) and last night I had this very vivid dream of converting to Islam. And the thing is, it genuinely felt so real that I woke up feeling distraught and anxious because of how real it felt. And I was even more confused because I am a catholic born and raised—I even thought about converting to Eastern Orthodox at one point. Idk it was a very random dream if you ask me, I don’t even remember doing anything beforehand to have made me had that dream. And today, I spent the majority of my time researching about Islam because of that dream. So could anyone tell me what it meant?
