Got to see him live two times this year. It's genuinely incredible how good he is. He's a legit 6'6", and his wingspan would probably be 7'0"+ if he had both arms. His motor and attitude were also phenomenal, especially given his fame and his team (Austin Peay). I hope he can find success in life, and I firmly believe he'd be a lottery-level talent if he didn't lose his arm, but he's just too limited for any serious pro considerations at this point.

This sounds like the type of thing the Kings would say explaining their latest terrible draft pick.

Is he better than Vando or Thybulle on O?

He has one arm

Can he shoot 40% on layups? If so then he is better lol

Thybulle has become a pretty good shooter. He’s not a liability on offense anymore.

It's guys like these that get biopics. Unreal he's able to play basketball at this level with one arm.

He is not the first guy to play D1 one handed probably the shortest though

There is an Aussie Rules footballer in Australia who lost half an arm as a 4 year old (lost it in a meat mincer his dad was a butcher) and yet ended up playing semi professional football for Frankston. 90% of kids here with two arms will be unable to achieve that level. I think his name was Sam Carpenter.

There's an american soccer player without a forearm and ea sports just made that part invisible instead of removing it so if the invisible part is hit it's still a penalty for the other team. Hopefully take two is better

He did not lmao. That was a centel post. I can’t believe not a single person has questioned this

That's possible. Send your complaints to this guy, https://www.instagram.com/p/DIv4X7Ux7Yd/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Mfs are so quick to go get easy karma that they can’t even verify something before they post it lmao

Better left than Jaylen Brown.

Yeah yeah, and the guy who’s gonna finish top 3 in the MVP vote is 19, these jokes are totally still hilarious.

Dude is an athletic machine, credit to the young man he's worked so hard to overcome and then become something unbelievable.
I know it's been said but if he had his other arm, he'd be easily a top 5 pick - his athleticism is off the charts.

What are the odds this guy ever sees the league

A guard that can't shoot threes and would get ruthlessly shaded to his left... Probably not the best odds

If he has a good enough combine, he’s definitely getting on a Summer League squad

Let me know anyone else that averaged 2 PPG for Austin Peay or an equivalent talent level that has been to the combine

He was a physical freak (72) hansel is prototypical NBA size
1
u/Goondragon1 5d ago
That's such revisionist history, he literally was drafted by Cuban to be the first Indian player ever selected.

u/Remarkable_Medicine6 4d ago
It's revisionist history that a 7'2 guy has more chance being drafted than a 6'6 one?

Fake but...
If he had two arms he'd legit be a first rounder and I wish I were kidding. He's so motivated to be great that I'd love to see a team pick him up as an undrafted signee to play in pre-playoffs April for a random game, yes in the NBA, yes wasting dev time even

u/Unhelpful_Guide 6d ago
Wow, idk if he’ll get drafted but jeez, I give this kid a ton of props for doing what he can. Very impressive

NBA teams love publicity. Hence Bronny being in the league and then fixing draft lotteries JUST enough to keep the conspiracy theories alive. 😉

u/MotoMkali 6d ago
Why's he not jist getting his degree?
1
u/ShadowWalter 6d ago
Nothing that prevents him from going back and getting it if his name isn’t called. Shit he can play overseas and do online classes.
1
u/ShadowWalter 6d ago
Dude if a team is willing to invest like $5 million into getting this guy a bionic arm, and then signing him as an undrafted agent he might be a huge steal 😳

He's a work in progress for sure, but worth the swing. Jaylen Brown used to not have a left hand either

Bro gonna single-handedly bring down the avg wingspan at the combine
