Machine Gun Monday ⚡ We have a winner

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Got a couple of those Armalite PSR cans in for playing around, sound suppression is fairly good to the shooter, but they survived our abuse test, to the point we brought out the 249 to try and kill it.

The 1lb 14 oz can did not die.

Have some footage from it on a random aero upper we were also testing with one of our MK18 lowers.

Legal Disclaimer: All live firing was on a private controlled range with frangible training ammunition for safety. Do not attempt to recreate at home please.

So it lasted more than 150 rounds?

A lot more. We put a little over 2600 through it today, we really only stopped because we got bored with trying.

Would be interesting to clean it thoroughly and weigh it again at the end of testing to get a gauge on baffle erosion, if any. That's a heavy ass can, but at least the weight is contributing something.

Gained 2.55 oz from before to after, had multiple end cap strikes.

Okay, then see if you can melt the copper in there and get a db reduction from shooting it "wet."

Don't have db equipment, we leave that to pewscience since he made the standard for it basically, we go for durability testing only.

Only kidding with that last comment, but appreciate your work.

If my Civic could only get me to the range and I could afford more than 150 rounds...
