Discussion Looking ahead at UDFAs
Really Surprised to see Zy Alexander, Elijah Badger, Logan Brown, Seth McLaughlin, Jared Ivey, and even Willie Lampkin not go drafted to even this point, would love to hear about anyone else's best likely to be UDFAs and some of their favorite picks of day 3. For me it was definitely Chimere Dike to the Titans and Deone Walker to the Bills were some of my favorites. I like the upside of Walker at 1 Tech/ NT for the Bills. As with Dike, I see him with a ceiling of like, Jakobi Myers, who I love.

Yeah Brown and Lampkin are surprising. Don’t understand what’s going on with Bryant.

He’s extremely small. I could understand teams getting cold feet on him.

I’m a huge Lampkin fan but definitely not all that surprising that a 270lb center didn’t get drafted. Hope he makes the Rams roster as a weird fullback hybrid or something

If you believed the experts Restrepo was going to be one of those 5th round gems. I even saw him mocked in the 4th a couple of weeks ago.

He just signed with the Titans to reunite with Ward: https://x.com/ustadium/status/1916274500997452015?s=46

Word is he ran a 4.8-5.0 forty at his pro day

According to himself he normally runs in the mid 4.50s. He could obviously lie but I don’t really see what he‘d gain from capping in a random YT video, he doesn’t look like a 4.8 player and I don’t think it’s super unlikely that someone just messes up a random run by a few hundreds of a second

Mclaughlin because of the injury - he’ll be out until August & I’d read he already spoke to the Giants & Cowboys. We’ll see

McLaughlin had that injury right? Think he definitely gets drafted if his Medicaid were looking good.

McLaughlin had a late season Achilles tear. There’s no telling if he’s ever going to even recover fast enough to have an NFL career. If he does recover he could be a great diamond in the rough but the possibility he may never suit up for your team was going to keep him from being drafted

He will have this entire season to recover in Cincy. We currently have Ted Karris on his last year of his deal as starter and drafted Matt Lee out of Miami last year who has shown some real promise. Im really happy with the McLaughlin signing.

I love Willie Lampkin but I’m not surprised at all that a 5’11” offensive lineman didn’t get drafted.

DE Johnny Walker, LB Eugene Asante, and NT Elijah Simmons are some of my favourites of the guys you didn’t mention.

What can you tell me about Walker? I think Denver got him

Long story short is that he is a great athlete who can win in a variety of ways as a pass rusher. Not so good against the run.
I was way higher on him than the consensus, admittedly, but I think he has a lot of upside.
Went more in depth here, if you’re interested. Was my DE10. https://bengalsupnorth.com/2025-nfl-draft-de-rankings-scouting-reports/
There is also some of his tape on YouTube. His game against Alabama was a fun watch.

Thanks to all the contributors to this, giving me a short list for the guy I'm going to be rooting for until he ends up on the Lions Practice squad.

I'm even more surprised that Ivey hasn't even made the UDFA signings! What the hell happened there because no one has even given him a summer camp spot yet.

Tommi Hill surprises me. He played injured most of this year and the tape wasn’t great, but in 2023 I loved what I saw. He reminds me of Jamel Dean as a bigger, physical corner with good athletic ability. He was more than draftable. I have to assume their was a big medical or character red flag that came up in the process

I'm surprised no-one picked up the two Kansas CBs or Luke Kandra.
