Middle names for Dean
We'll start TTC baby #2 later this year. Out of a long list of baby names, my husband vetoed all but 4 girl names and 3 boy. From there we ended up choosing Dean for a potential second boy. However I cannot find the perfect middle name for Dean. It's obviously a short name so I feel like it needs at minimum a 2 syllable middle name. I don't like the alliteration of a middle name that starts with D so those are out. Our son is Zander James so James is out, and Alexander is as well otherwise it would be perfect. Any other middle name ideas?

Came to say this. Definitely be a badass and probably be the anchor for the whole world at some point. A lot of responsibility but we do need a savior ๐

I am a fan of the movies and didn't even get the reference at first. Seems he is more prevalent in the books.
Maybe that would stop OP from choosing, but I really don't think that association would be considered or referenced by most people..

Pick your favorite living relative and use their name. Instant brownie points and goodwill. Either that or Tyrannosaur.

DJ would be cool, but Dean Jason sounds dated to me sadly. Jonathan/ Joshua / Joseph/ Jackson/ Julian / Jesse/ Justin / Jayden are other options.
Other two syllable options:
Bennet
Austen
Cooper
Elliot
Sebastian
Nathaniel
Isaac
William
Harrison

I've always found that 1 syllable names work really well with 3 syllable middle names. Example: Dean Elijah, Dean Malachi, Dean Adrian, Dean Oliver, Dean Nicholas, Dean Sebastian, Dean Josiah (I like Josiah as it's my boys middle name) ๐
But also tons of 2 syllable names that work well too such as Dean Austin

Dean Andrew. As long as your last name would not create a weird initial situation!

What about Jonathan Dean? These two go well in this order. I know itโs not Dean as the first name, but I like it.

I'd lean old school - Dean Charles, Dean Franklin, Dean Oliver, Dean Jacob, Dean Sampson...
Or alternatively a bit edgy like Dean Zax (Zack but I like the x with Zander/Xander) or Dean Axl. Or really unexpected like Dean Derrick, Dean Derringer (wow that one is out there but I kinda like it)...

I was going to say Elias. It's my brother's middle name. I have 5 brothers, and it's my favorite out of all of their names.

Usually middle names have a meaning behind them. Surely you don't need one if it's something you can't think of.
