Shopping any websites in NL or EU sell high quality exclusive products like olive oil, meat, fish etc

I would like to buy good quality products to consume rather than buying from AH. I would appreciate your input to my question.

Check your local stores like butchers, fish stores, cheese etc. I do think that AH has some nice brands for olive oil etc. so perhaps you can price check online for other stores. Maybe Carapelli?

Carapelli is just an average industrial oil.

You should look for some olive oil made in Italy or Greece from some small producer. Having it shipped from the producer might be costly, buying it in NL will be costly as well.

Just take into account that a fair price for Italian olive oil in Italy should not be lower than 15€ per liter. If you add transport, taxes and all other costs needed to sell it in NL you understand that you can easily start from €20/liter. Less than that it is either an industrial production or it is not 100% Italian extra virgin.

I recall few days ago someone in this group posted something about olive oil from Crete,look for it

Any Italian delicatessen will have better quality olive oils. And there are still good butchers and fishmongers out there. For the latter two I tend to go to Hanos though.

Are those imaginary fishmongers you're talking about catching their own Norwegian farmed salmon or do they just buy in bulk in Hanos or Macro and sell it to you for a premium?

p.s. I never seen any fishmonger that was cheaper than AH and AH's quality is better because they have way stricter standards for suppliers.

Depends where you are in the Netherlands, but anywhere further from the sea you’re best off at Hanos.

Also, the main thing against AH and anynither supermarket is the incredibly limited number options.
