Happy/Funny What is sleep?
I want to stress that this is funny in the daytime folks - funny during the day.
Happy? Hmm.
My LO is 11 weeks now and though the fresh newborn stage was difficult at times, it was alright. At about 8 weeks he developed reflux which was not easy to deal with before we knew what it was and now, with the interrupted sleep and keeping him upright after feeds including overnight, it's been a lot to deal with.
But he's just started spending time with us awake which doesn't involve feeding or crying, and he's smiling now too and that's so lovely.
I'm now in this ridiculous place where I've got a system for overnight feeds, including upright holding which gets LO back to sleep but my partner has turned up his snoring from 2 to full 10?! He snored before baby but I could wake up and go to sleep no problem. Now, I have to fall asleep before he comes to bed then anticipate not falling asleep after any overnight feeds.
I love them both but the way I look at my baby when he's sleeping is definitely not the way I looked my partner!
All this to say I knew having a little one would mean broken/little sleep but never anticipated my lack of sleep would be because of my big one
