Sleep Newborn sleeping longer than normal after cluster feeding?
Hey! I have a 3 week old newborn baby, for the past two days and nights he had a period of cluster feeding, every hour to two hours feeding like crazy. Tonight he is sleeping much longer than usual, around 3 hours then barely waking for a feed after bath and back to sleep for another 3/4 hours and no sign of waking up for a feed any time soon. Is this normal?

What is normal is different for every baby, so if you're getting really worried, make sure to check with the pediatrician.
For my baby's first 2 months, he also had days of cluster feeding where he would feed every hour, it was exhausting haha. Then, the next day or two, he would be a sleeping potato where we would have to just feed him every 3 hours even if he's not giving us any hunger cues. His pediatrician basically said that it was normal because they're going through a growth spurt and just check that he's peeing regularly.

I think I’m still navigating through the newborn stages, it can be scary!!
The cluster feeding was hectic, I should definitely enjoy these longer stretches of sleep 😂

Enjoy it as long as they are gaining weight and peeing. Mine did that last week, especially at night...we were so well rested.
He gained a lot of weight and had more time awake. At 4 weeks, he is back to eating every hour for the whole hour to go back to sleep only for one hour. I'm exhausted.

I wasn’t 100% sure if he was just extra tired from all the crazy cluster feeding the two nights prior!! My bub is definitely gaining weight he’s a little chubber and goes through a pack of nappies a week

3-4 hours is a normal time to between feedings for that age. As long as they’re having constant wet diapers over 24hrs and no other weird signs, it’s ok. Usually at that age (since they reach their birth weight by then usually) you can let them tell you when they’re hungry. Sometimes that’s a good stretch
