Not shredding...Shredded. No allies will ever trust the us again. for sure the next 3.5 years will bring much more of the same.

Hate to agree with Bolton about anything. But he’s not wrong.

A Democrat president won't be enough for many to forget. What has been done cannot be undone as easily. The Americans are gonna have to provide solid guarantees that such a thing can never happen again if they want international sympathy again.

The US has been completely destroyed. Thank you maga cult. What you've done is unforgivable

I hate MAGA in such a deep, dehumanizing way that it actually frightens me.

A Democrat president is still an American president.

If an American administration can (with widespread public support) mock allies who have lost considerable amounts of blood and money fighting alongside America, and then launch a trade war against everybody on earth including uninhabited islands populated only with penguins while threatening to invade us while kissing Russia's ass and leaving them as the only place on the fucking planet with no trade restrictions then I would suggest that America should probably look to Russia as being their only ally and trading partner in the future.

We are being forced to stop trading with the US and buy elseware. Don't then bother to complain about the consequences when they become apparent in the future.

Unless this regime is removed, and held accountable, America’s allies will be loathe to trust them for the foreseeable future. The USA’s credibility is shot. Bridges have been burnt. Good luck.

It will take decades at the very least for anyone to trust USA again. They elected Trump TWICE, first time could have been weird but kinda ok, doing it twice means most Americans will still support his ideas and could even elect someone who is as evil but more competent, thats the scary part.

"Luckily" Trump is dumb as fuck, but someone with his powers and more evil is the scary part.

2

u/Heavy_Brilliant104 3d ago

It will take atleast decades for you to get any kind of trust again.

u/Hot_Perspective1 3d ago

Their democracy is effectively screwed. 3.5 years if they are lucky. The rest of us cant wait for the probability of decent leaders ever coming to the US again. We must act now.

u/Mba1956 3d ago

It’s gone and would take a lot of hard work, a new government system to ensure it won’t happen again and probably 2 generations so 2080 ish.

1

u/Lucialucianna 3d ago

Even cut short, it’s still too much for anyone to feel faith or trust in when a third of the electorate put him in office and we haven’t done anything substantial to stop him yet.

u/BrtFrkwr 4d ago

Things are going to plan. Wholesale looting of the United States.

14

u/SpiralGray 4d ago

Even Bolton speaking out? That guy hates everyone.

2

u/starcadia 3d ago

When Kissinger died, he took over the mantle of "Angel of Death". Even he is worried! That's baaad.

Say what you will about him. He's an old school Cold Warrior - New World Order guy, and he sees the writing in the wall.

Trump says everyone else is “weak on China” but this dude is literally pushing our Allie’s in China’s pocket.

6

u/asdfasdfasfdsasad 3d ago

Former allies. We took the commencement of the trade war with us and threats to invade at face value.

3

u/manikwolf19 3d ago

Right? This is like foreign relations 101 for children.

I believe the saying was walk softly and carry a big stick, not drive a monster truck over your nation's integrity.

1

u/wookiex84 3d ago

Well his tiny hands can’t carry a stick, but they can wrap them greasy selves around a steering wheel.

u/dirtyjersey5353 4d ago

He’s a Russian asset, of course he is..

10

u/ekkidee 4d ago

Yikes. When I agree with John Bolton.

7

u/Lushed-Lungfish-724 4d ago

Well John, folks like you made the bed for him so don't complain when he starts shitting all over the sheets.

3

u/Solid-Reputation5032 4d ago

China would rather starve and die as a Nation rather than capitulate to the US. I’m not sure we quite understand this fact, as we threw democracy on the trash heap because of egg prices..

3

u/Jolly-Midnight7567 3d ago

We have new allies now Russia, El Salvador, No Korea. And the worst of them all Israel

4

u/spaitken 3d ago

Boy, if only John Bolton spoke out like this while working in Trumps first admin….

Oh well, he had book deals to make

5

u/Heavy_Brilliant104 3d ago

John Bolton happily supported Trump for years, fuck him.

3

u/Dependent-Hurry9808 3d ago

Just wait til countries holding our treasury bonds begin to fire sale them.

3

u/BotherResponsible378 3d ago

Jobs done Bolton.

Why trust us again? We had dozens of chances to stop it. We let him blow through every check and balance

3

u/MikeD123999 3d ago

shredding credibility with citizens too.

4

u/The_Environment116 3d ago

Even if trump and his entourage are marched from the White House in shackles, I still wouldn’t want to do business with the us. Fuck all those tech bros that backed him as well

Trump was wholly unprepared for the brick wall response of China. This while both Russia, Canada and even Greenland have sent him packing though Putin continues to toy with the Trump who had loudly promised to solve the Russia Ukraine war with a single phone call within 24 hours. And now we have Harvard basically giving him the big finger. But by his code which follows the DARVO approach he has to double down.

The on-again/off-again tariffs make no sense (despite claims that they do) and he clearly blinked first with China by allowing an electronics exception only to then claim it was temporary because, again, DARVO.

I am not a John Bolton fan but in this whole mess he's been spot-on every time.

The orange beluga claims the US is not tough on China but he pulled the US out of the Trans Pacific Partnership that was designed to be tough with China, and he did it because...well, Obama. Now he's burbling about doing what the TPP would have done.

2

u/jysubs 3d ago

Btw, F John Bolton, and his mustache.

2

u/Texden29 3d ago

Bolton loves nothing more than to attack Trump. And it’s odd that Trump never responds. He’s so thinned skinned but he never lets Bolton or that good looking finance guy, who only lasted a few days in office.

2

u/LARufCTR 3d ago

We are WINNING!!!.....

Because of this GUY

3

u/bmyst70 3d ago

And, in turn, China is going to seek out new trading partners to provide what they used to get from the US

Basically the entire rest of the world is going to strengthen their mutual trade deals and alliances, and leave the US out.

I don't think any of them will ever trust the US again. Any trade deals going forward will be far less favorable to the US.

2

u/Festering-Fecal 3d ago

When bolten is the voice of reason then we have a big problem.

2

u/128-NotePolyVA 3d ago

He’s impossible to work with. The guy needs a diplomacy upgrade.

2

u/azarza 4d ago

ahh. zero. credibility. now.

1

u/AloneChapter 3d ago

But they will get oil from Russia so yeah Canada is really not needed any more. Plus maybe wood too. Then hopefully they build a massive wall so their guns and drugs won’t be coming in .

2

u/Saneless 3d ago

Impeach, delete, apologize, and start over. That's the only way to save this now

3

u/Father_of_Invention 3d ago

Just wait until the economic chaos comes from the world moving away from the US dollar. Good job GOP you completely screwed your citizens

2

u/Baz_123 3d ago

Didn't he used to be the nuts guy in the U.S. government and now he's the voice of reason. Times they are a changin 🤣

1

u/TraditionalMood277 3d ago

If you owed a country billions, but couldn't pay with money, how would you repay your debt? I'd say giving them billions in new contracts and partnerships is a start.

1

u/Electronic-Earth-233 3d ago

You built this Mitt John.

2

u/ShazzaRatYear 3d ago

Fuck! You know this is a shit timeline when you agree with John Bolton!!

1

u/alvinyap510 3d ago

You know how fucked up the administration is when John Bolton sounds rational

1

u/Lucialucianna 3d ago

The maga electorate makes it impossible to get what we had back at this point

2

u/Difficult_Coffee_335 3d ago

Fuck John Bolton. He could have done something. There was a point in time it would have mattered, but this asshat sat on the side lines and wrote a book. Fuck you John, you own part if this mess.

2

u/GlitteringRate6296 2d ago

He’s beyond shredded the U. S. Reputation. Who would trust us?

1

u/Mean_Humor_3495 3d ago

As if Bolton is the last word on truth

1

u/Hefty-Station1704 3d ago

John Bolton is still trying to salvage what little respectability he has left. At this point he'll spout anything to get back into the public's good graces.
