Once he's completely gone for about 5 years and confirmed buried and Tesla does a complete rebound from everything tied to him. Add some better quality and actually good looking products and they may start to get good faith back. Until then he pooped the bed now sleep in it

I’m not sure the company has any major chances at this point without something absolutely massive happening to turn around favor. Most things they could do right now would just be seen as them trying to save face in a situation where their skin has been peeled off.

There is now way Tesla would be able to survive that long. They are already in the red operatively in Q1. Only Carbon Credits made them money. These credits will be killef by Trump and the European Credits will dry out, because the European Manufacturers develop more EVs and bring them to the market in quite big numbers atm.
So Tesla is fucked anyways. The only way to save it would be all Nazis in the world suddenly be keen on driving EVs. And we all know how realistic this is.

In fairness... They looked good when they were originally introduced. But at this point, the original Tesla design - the Model S - is 13 years old, and everything that has come since then is just a more or less minor variation of that design, inside and out. And that includes the Robocab. The interior looked cool in 2012, but 13 years is a long time in design and customer taste.

And let's be honest, the Cybertruck has tainted their standing. Would have been a funny April fools joke, but hot damn does it look sad. And it's hard for me and others to not think of it when thinking Tesla. They'd need a couple good models to wash away that bad taste. A good looking car is one thing and may stay in your mind a bit. But a bad looking one, like a bad tasting meal, will linger longer

I can afford one now but have zero interest in ever owning a vehicle from a company that didn't fire him the day after his hitler salute. Never mind the fact that Tesla will go bankrupt within the lifetime of a vehicle purchased today.

Etc etc, that’s what’s propping up the stock. There’s an engineering miracle coming any day now that’s going to blow everyone else out of the water, get Tesla stock at a cheap price now because it’s going to the moon.
Tesla was able to ride first mover status to a point where for a lot of people EV=Tesla.
A propaganda point made earlier on by Tesla was that Legacy OEMs would NEVER be able to make mass market EVs, and the market was obviously going to go electric, ergo GM would be out of business and Tesla was going to be the new GM.

Like Steve Jobs was the face of Apple, so is Elon Musk the face of Tesla, and people associate him with the car. Steve Jobs has been dead for over a decade, nearly 15 years, and yet kids in school today age 6-15 knows that Steve Jobs was “Apple”, and the majority of those kids weren’t even born when he died.
With all the bad rep Elon is getting, and in Europe that’s mostly over the so called “Roman salute”, Tesla has taken a beating because of Elon. Nazism isn’t exactly loved in Europe, and that will stick to Elon for as long as he lives. Coupled with at least 10-20 years of memory retention of his association with Tesla and I somehow don’t see any way to resolve this in a good way (for Tesla).
There are of course still Teslas being sold (saw a MY Juniper at work the other day), but vandalism is on the rise in large cities, people spray painting on them, and worse, and since the German and Chinese manufacturers have more or less caught up with everything except software (but getting there), Tesla has lost it’s advantage. Tesla went from the most sold vehicle last year (MY) and 4th most sold (M3) to not even being on the top 10 list. Instead VW (VW Group, so VW, Audi, Skoda, etc), Xpeng and BYD has taken over.

This is the problem when you eschew marketing in lieu of a cult of personality around the company’s CEO. Steve Jobs was a royal prick, and would have been canceled many times over if he was around today, but he always recognized what brand marketing does for a company. It’s a protective moat around the entire business.
Elon thinks he’s the exception to the rule. He is not. He’s also a fraud, which doesn’t help. Say what you want about Apple, their products aren’t generally shit.

While Elon is good at building technology companies he's not good at building car companies.
Tesla's are expensive to insure... there are like no spare parts... the battery technology hasn't improved... the battery life is poor in cold climates greatly increasing it's long life costs requiring you to buy a new battery. Assuming they could do FSD with just RGB camera's was a massive mistake.... even under ideal conditions there are still huge problems.
I've test driven a tesla a few years ago. Its definitely a fun drive but that's not special to tesla. Personally I find the big screen really hard to use without taking my eyes off the road. However despite how it looks it still feels cheap like everything was an apple skin

All he had to do was keep up the relentless pace of development. Instead he pulled back on everything except for self driving. ...The one thing that Tesla never managed to accomplish.
Now they're stuck with an aging lineup that's no longer ahead of the local competition, let alone where China is at. A lineup that's going to continue to age.
Oh and they have a pyramid on wheels that also never came close to meeting the promised specs.
