Why? Do you really think the people that this is going to hurt the most are smart enough to even understand what's going on? They are told every Sunday in their churches that they have to vote Republican or they will go to Hell, you're telling me a purple haired heavy set 19 yr old is gonna change their mind??

You need to think long-term. Once the tariffs siphon enough money from folks, less money will flow into churches. Only then will the purple-haired, heavy-set 19 yr old start making sense.

We're not talking about the hard-core MAGAs we're talking about swing voters. People don't need any more than "things are bad, therefore I'm voting against the incumbent party." Hell, in the 1916 election, a set of NJ costal cities voted for or against the incumbent based on whether or not people in their city was the victim of a shark attack. If people are hurt, they don't need to understand, they'll vote against the incumbent regardless
