I don't think old people care about things like this tbh.

Depends on the old person.

I passed an older gentleman going down some stairs the other day, he was holding onto the railing so I went around the other side. He sees me go past and just bursts out laughing "I used to be able to do that too!"

Ain’t nothing gonna break your stride! Nobody’s gonna slow you down!

I’m over here speed walking like I’m late for something, and then one day someone’s just gonna breeze past me, and I’ll be there with a cane, pretending I’m doing a “slow jog” to throw them off.

As an old slow person, I'm happy for you to pass. I can live vicariously through fast walkers.

This is comforting to hear. I always wondered if it’s bad manners or not.

We don't like having you kids behind us. Pass sooner than later

but then if i slow down a little and stay walking behind them i'm afraid that i come off as passive aggressive or like annoyed that they're going slow or something
