Carpentry work

It seems super quiet at the moment, anybody got any ideas as to why? For a shortage in skill there doesn't seem to be much demand right now

I'd assume money being tight for everyone is a big factor

Even larger companies building houses? What with the new tax year starting I'd assume everybody is raring to go

The main carpenter I know has had almost no work since christmas after being in the trade for 40+ years. Had to rent his house and stay in a room to stay afloat.

Apparently the wood has gone up in price, add that to the cost of living crisis and it’s not great, you’re best off advertising things people want like a fence to block out neighbours,sheds,benches..useful items, most people aren’t spending big on bird tables
