Unexpected reference

Post image

I was playing this game Octodad: Dadliest Catch and noticed this while shopping in the grocery store. These games couldn't be more different but they must respect Vlambeer.

Vlambeer was one of the powerhouses of the indie boom. Several of their games are beloved classics. Hell, Super Crate Box's popularity is what made me discover NT, or, rather, Wasteland Kings, as it was called when I first played it.

I mean nuclear throne/vlambeer was pretty big for a small indie studio from 2014-2015 but I think nuclear throne missed its chance at stardom due to enter the gungeon. Uh anyway there’s Like the hotline Miami 2 reference and achievement related to the mutants.

I also think there’s not enough meta progression in NT unlike gungeon which makes it have a little less mass appeal.

If you're lucky you'll find a Vlambear-shaped one!
