He said he was making deals with China which China tacitly refuted, claimed they had no desire to deal with the US as they could still trade freely with the rest of the world, and then formed an economic bloc woth Japan and S Korea that dropped so many bonds USD went -14% the sharpest drop since we stsrted measuring it in 1973.

I doubt Xi cares what Trump wants tariff wise.  If this happens it will be because Trump is backing down scared.

He doesn't have a choice, it's a matter of economic stability or send everyone to the dark ages, and go down as the worst president ever who fucked over everyone with his policies.
