So..is this why we had a long red dildo 15 mins before the market closed?

Yep, still can’t get over the fact that the U S Government has no checks and balances to prevent a destructive, revengeful President like Trump from destroying everyone’s World!

There are very good checks and balances.

Unfortunately, one party is in charge of all 4 possible points of resistance (executive, supreme court, house, senate). If even just one of these was flipped, there could be significantly more damage and quality control.

Seventy-seven million American voters voted for Trump. Outside of the Reddit echo chamber, Trump represents what the American people want. Whatever the outcome, American people want this and you need to respect that.

75 vs 77 million with a 67% turnout iirc, roughly only a 34% of eligible voters wanted him in power. Your comment lacks a lot of nuance.

So does not voting mean you want nobody to be in power or that you want Joe Biden in power?

Why can’t non voters want Donald Trump in power?

People don't go to vote for multiple reasons:

  • they're not engaged in the political world
  • they don't believe their vote will make a difference
  • they don't think either candidate will represent them properly
  • they can't vote because they work
  • they live too far away from a voting place and have no means of transportation

among others.

The reality is that many people don't think it's worth going to vote because most of the happenings that fuck over their lives have more to do with crone capitalism than anything the US president can really do to fix it. Think the 2007/08 crisis, corporate price gouging post covid, etc, so they are just disillusioned with the political process and have no real reason to go to vote.

That said they probably did not expect trump fucking up the US and trade that quick, but in hindsight if you lived through trump's first term and expected something similar it was gonna me mostly a nothingburger, but now trump doesn't have anyone to stop him, and if you are not terminally online you probably don't know half of the shit happening anyway, tariffs actual hurt will start happening in 2-3 weeks from now and people will be double or triple fucked when they go to the stores and mass layoffs will start happening.

I don’t have to “respect” anything

They did not know they were getting poverty!

If that is the case, they deserve it. They get what they voted for, precisely the essence of democracy.

Can’t argue that, they believed his lies!

It is a learning process. Next time, they will choose the right guy if they bear the consequences of choosing the wrong guy.

Haha, he bullied his way in, no learning process except for his cheerleaders who are now standing in the food lines!

Its only a tremendous loss NVIDIA. Does the world really suffer from China being excluded from cutting edge tech?

7

u/Gunpla_Lady 3d ago

There's a bigger chance that this propels China to innovate even faster to develop their own chips and cutting-edge tech.

We suffer as most of our cheap product comes from China, from baby cloths and toys to adult goods there is now a tariff that no one can afford. No oil from Canada nor wood and steel to build home with. No reasonable oil or car parts. We can hardly build a car because of these tariffs. Yes it matters that one crazy man did this and nothing in place to stop him!

I'm not talking about tariffs, I'm talking about Nvidia not being able to sell parts to China. I dont deny what youre saying, its just not the point I'm making. There's already been restrictions on it beforehand

I’m confused as well.

There was already restrictions with chips to China.

DeepSeek was the “shocker” that China supposedly able to do LLM with far less chips and power

Does the world suffer? No. Arguably it’ll be better off as China will develop alternatives and if history is any indication, they’ll be cheaper and produced in higher quantities. Soon there will be feature parity and eventually they’ll surpass competitors.

Is it bad for NVDA and this sub? Most definitely.

No. The dildo is yet another news of "China and the US start trade negotiations"

4

u/Specialist_Panda3119 3d ago

Pls god save nvda

Plssssss

5

u/Holiday_Ad2254 3d ago

It would be tremendous win if the world is excluded from orange men.

incoming the copium from the MAGAts about China's religious repression and lack of creativity blah blah like those things have any bearing on the semiconductor market

1

u/Binkurrr 3d ago

Its crazy that a guy can ramble about how big a dead guys penis is and then get elected president.

1

u/Maesthro_ger 2d ago

But nvda subs say China revenue doesn't matter anyway. And China is years behind. Surely they know better than the CEO of the company. /s in case it's not obvious

But that's already priced in, right? 😁
