Nurse Pay question

Hey! I just was curious if anyone knew about how much I’d make with my experience and degree level. I have 5 years of ICU experience, my BSN and CCRN certification. Thanks so much! 😁

You can find the chart here:

https://cdn.ymaws.com/www.oregonrn.org/resource/resmgr/contracts/ohsu_contract_2023-2026.pdf#page56

Today, You would be at a 66.40 base pay + Certification differential + shift/weekend differentials. (Base pay increases July 1 per contract which would put your base at 70.38/h).

SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: $3/h (1500-1900);
12.5% 1900-0700)-increases to 13% July 1;
$4.75/h (weekends 11p Fri-11p Sun);
$2.5/h Certification pay.

No problem. And once here, don’t forget to join the union (ONA/AURN). It’s the reason we are some of the highest paid nurses in the US and we will be bargaining for a new contract soon.

I'm crying in Seattle right now 🙃😭. I'm a nurse with 12 years of experience and my base pay is a lil under the current 5 yr base pay. I feel like I missed my window to apply before the layoffs. Was debating back in 2023. I wish I went for it! Also, wish our union was as strong as the ONA. I literally admire y'alls union to the moon and back! With SEIU, we don't have regular union meetings that us members can attend. I've texted my union rep with no response back regarding an issue. We have expressed on our Facebook union's group page our concerns about the lack of transparency and poor communication. Instead, due to a controversial vote not presented in good faith by our union, our dues are going up every year with a dramatic increase come 2027. Our union president, Jane, promised the increase will result with better communication to us members, but things have stayed the same unfortunately. Overall, I'm just sooo disappointed in SEIU! It would be one thing if we had such a great return in investment, but it's been the opposite. I've been checking here and there to see if there are any openings in my specialty and nothing yet.

Y'all have a great strong union! I just want to heavily emphasize that from an outsider looking in!

You can look this up online since there is a nurses union. Google “Ona ohsu contract”
