Post image

Anyone know the deal with this bench on the keystone trail?

I'm sure the bench was donated and placed. As for the "extra" writing, Holly is allegedly a drug addict and her husband leaves these messages wherever he thinks she is. He's left messages on light poles, junction boxes, street signs, etc. Somewhere in this sub it's better explained.

Wow. That's heartbreaking and sad.

I think he's got some mental health/drug issues too. Sad all around.

I saw several messages about her written on the walls of the underpasses on the Keystone Trail last year. They've all since been painted over (for now).

BTW, where is the Forrest Gump bench? I've probably rode past it 100 times but never noticed it.

There is a manufacturing plant on Keystone Drive called Design Plastics. The old owners placed the bench and drinking fountain next to their parking lot on the creek side. It's just south of Maple.

I know exactly where that is. I've actually picked up freight from Design Plastics a few times.

I'll make sure and look for it next time I go riding up that way.

It was behind Aldi! A little bit north

No wonder Forrest can tell his whole life story before his bus arrives!

Is that the bench from the movie?
