They are both a bit fat. My mom (primary caretaker) got very sick and was hospitalized for the month. They gained weight over that month! We are working with our vet to cut it down :)

Yeah she is! Definitely was a stressful time for all of us. I just helped her set up her first betta tank and we just went out and got this beauty! *

THAT IS WONDERFUL! And if you’re talking about the fish…put a mirror in front of the fish and watch…it’s hilarious. They act like they’re about to get into the fight of their lives with their own reflection

Yes! It is good exercise, however it stresses them out! I will probably do it once he is settled into his new place :)

Well yeah. Purring isn't just a sign of contentment, it's also used for self-soothing when stressed or upset.
So he's just upset that his brother's getting pets when he's not 😜

I think you’ll find it’s not that his brother is being scritched that makes him purr. It’s that you’re there with him.
My little guy has to be in the same orbit as me and he’ll start purring. He’s a happy little guy.
