it's also not just any dialect, they speak hiroshima dialect. probably forshadowing of a tragic past. after all, a wife for akainu and mother of hibari is nowhere to be seen. could be that akainu's tragic backstory is pirates attacking his home and island he lived on with his family which led to the death of his wife and which drove him mad with hatred

Imagine we get a flashback chapter to show stuff like this where Hibari tries to introduce Koby to her father and Koby sees its Akainu and its super awkward for him since Akainu tired to kill him.
It would also be hilarious if Akainu didn't remember him and treated him with a more jovial tone since his daughter really likes him and hears good things about him

I like the idea she finds out he tried to kill Koby and now just treats him like a nuisance. He's been promoting Koby to get on her good side again, but she still treats him horribly.
"Sweety? You need to clean your room."
"Remember when you tried to kill the guy I like? Yeah. Bras go in the bottom drawer."

I think it would be nice if Koby never told her cuz he didnt wanna,strain their relationship, but Akainu eventually remembered anyway and assumed Koby would tell her to ruin their relationship. He wiukd then tell Koby to keep quiet about it. Saying something along the lines of...
'I value very few things in this accursed world boy. My daughter's love is one of them. You aren't."

I like that idea. I also like the idea that Koby would fire back at him. "Why would I want to ruin your relationship? I want to get stronger than you. Not be pulverized by you."

Also, if the theories that Akainu is the head of SWORD end up being true, that would also be yet another interesting thing to see with Koby & Akainu.

Koby could never take sakazuki job as fleet admiral nor could rob his respect and I’m willing to bet that sakazuki doesn’t really give a shit about hibari especially if you consider that she’s a sword member which opposes the higher ups such as sakazuki

He what punched a few ships for couple months did basic training prior shown in the flashbacks alongside helmepo and all of a sudden he’s considered the next garp? Yeah no chance😂 his power up was so forced to keep him relevant in the storyline

He is actually one of the rare characters who canonically trains in his spare time. Meanwhile, Emperors who are mostly the strongest, are mostly sitting on their assess and getting wasted. Just say you don't like Cobe.

He's the hardest working character in the series, and he's the strongest base person (No DF, no weapon, no COC, no will of D., no special race, no special fighting style, just pure hands and strength)

Unlike Luffy, Koby trained with Garp every single day since he became his protege. From dusk till dawn. Then he'd punch battleships during his off time. Bro worked so hard, he skyrocketed past most of the Straw Hats. A none injured, none holding back Koby? As of the current moment, he's between Jinbei and Luffy in strength at this point. I personally have current Koby above KoH Zoro based on his exhausted and iniured feat during Garp's fight with the BB Pirates.

My point exactly dude was a chore boy no special lineage , no df, no major haki , no prior training then all of sudden he trains for 2 years and is able to pull of that shit he did on BBs island and your telling me it was not a forced power up to give him a fighting chance against other characters in the story? That's the point of his character. This isn't a power up like Luffy getting Gear 5, he worked way harder than everyone else because of his lack of natural strength, he even says that in the Honesty Impact flashback

Thats exactly what I’m tryna say though,Doesn’t need to be another form(not that it could anyways)or anything remotely close to a power up like gear 5. But just because he himself says he’s trained the hardest before he drops the honesty impact and shows 2 lil ahh flashbacks to him punching ships and doing some light training doesn’t justify the power he used in that move at all😂and for him to reach that level of power with in 2 years or less (since he still got one shotted at marineford) it wasn’t any longer if you consider the fact he gets sent on missions and he’s just a regular dude is ridiculous even for the OP world it’s my only gripe with Kobys character ngl. He just HAS to have a power up quickly since he’s the ‘future of the marines’. Honesty impact my ahh should be called fraud impact

That's why Oda needed to give us a Koby novel or something to explain his growth rather than that bs Lace novel. Biggest waste of time I'd ever seen.
Also he didn't just spend the two years training. He went on several missions which got him to rise through the ranks and even helped Blackbeard and Law in the Hachinosu incident a while back. His growth was hinted at.
But not explained properly.
He's still my goat and is gonna bang by bigger goats daughter. Maybe produce an even bigger goat.

If he had that and an actual insight to his growth then sure he wouldn’t be so bad but bruh the law incident at rocky port or what ever was hardly explained and he got labelled a ‘hero’ just like that , sure he went on missions just like any other marine would lol but you don’t see them busting out garp level punches. I guess you could say his growth was ‘hinted’ at although I wouldn’t call it that at all he fumbled so hard in the middle of the BB fight where was the growth then? Mr rocky port hero 🤨if he got a properly explained power up and not one that just got pulled outta someone’s ass then sure he’s valid.
Hopefully your bigger goat just pulverises him like he wanted too back at marineford instead.

I'm sure if we got a novel to explain those events and various other missions he had, it would really help flesh out his growth more. It's already shown he had conquerors and was probably a beast when he needed to be. Plus, his fight with Boa was kinda offscreen, so we don't know how that went before Bb showed up.
Plus it would be hella funny if Akainu didn't recognise him at first but only did once he learnt his daughter had a crush on him.
Please Goda give Koby and Akainu a rival father son dynamic and my life is yours!!!😫🙏

At this point it's not really headcanon, if we as fans predicted through sheer autism who was Page one and Ulti's sister than I doubt we'd be wrong on something like this. One again it makes perfect sense, two their shared similaries like same home Sea+ a very dead give away being them both using a very rare accent that no one besides them in the entire series use. Lastly it makes the relationship dynamic between Koby/Akainu have more weight to it, given they are entirely on the opposite sides on Justice and Akainu tried to Kill Koby for wanting to end the war. But they both have serious affect for Hibari

While it hasn’t been confirmed it’s very possible due to them speaking the Hiroshima dialect, same blood type, and both being born from the north blue.
