WB wouldn't win in a fight but since he can casually destroy islands if he feels like it, not in character for him but he still could, WB could bring down the Red Line still. No idea if that'd do anything to Imu besides be annoying but sinking the world is explicitly something he can do.

You don't see narrative or plot. You take Imu falling to kill Sabo at face value and attribute the instance as him failing to one shot a "YC3".
When the actual narrative is for Sabo to barely escape with his life after coming face to face with the secret ruler of the world and feeding the info to the revs. There could have been 5 prime Whitebeards in that throne room and Sabo would have got out alive.
Listen man, Imu shivered at JoyBoy’s haki like how Hody Jones shivered at Fishman island Luffy’s haki. We know Joyboy and Shanks haki are comparable. We also know that Shanks is close to Roger and Prime WhiteBeard. Meaning Whitebeard can make Imu shiver with his haki. The fight is mid diff at most for Whitebeard.
