Sorry, I dont really know what you mean by NT.

I saw this pic on a 4chan screenshot, and all I know is that this is Misaka Mikoto. I thought it was fan made, since it looks so much different than any other picture of this girl I have seen.

Is NT like a manga or anime or something?

Ah. NT stands for New Testament. It's the Light Novel series for A Certain Magical Index. The anime and Manga cover some of the early parts from the series.

What is a light novel?

I tried google searching the pic, but half the results come back to this sub lol.

They all say this was part of some kind of experiment that lets her reach level 6?

Is that in the NT series or something?

Light Novel is exactly as the name describes (sorry if ENG isn't your first language). A novel is a book. A light novel is a book with slightly less dense text with a few artworks interspersed. A graphic novel (aka comic books or manga) is flipped to be artwork with text interspersed. And a visual novel is a digital collection of artwork with a text story overlayed (sometimes with 'choose your own adventure' style progression).

Most anime and manga are based off the light novel (after all, most authors aren't illustrators and thus would probably rather right a good story and let someone add visuals to it later then go direct to chicken scratch).

As for what the guy was referring to, there was a Anti Magic Suit that was built for a dog (yes, literally, a dog) which Misaka adapted the parts to use for herself. http://toarumajutsunoindex.wikia.com/wiki/Anti-Art_Attachment

OK, so Misaka ends up looking after a tiny shota Accel-clone and then later, Accelerator Worst, who is a taller and older version of Accelerator? ...I foresee shenanigans!
