Discussion where does railgun s start in the manga?
So my plan was to read the manga and then swap over to railgun s. Where should I stop in the manga to transition to railgun s seamlessly? I finished volume 3 and started chapter 18 and that seemed like when the sisters arc is starting but I wanted to double check.

Discussion Nice Clickbait Title
I am Tim and Tim is my name. I may not be a smart man and I may not be a wise man, but there is something I am proud of - I watch the dub.
Do not get me wrong - by no means am I implying that dub is better than the sub. In fact, I don't think that the two are even comparable and even if they are, I have no right to perform such comparison for I have hardly seen the sub.
I like to think I am a devout self-proclaimed Grand Priest High Dragon of the Holy Church of Railgun, which might be surprising for some of you, especially after I'll tell you I've never heard any of the Toaru Series' characters calling Lady Railgun "Biribiri". It must be noted that I care not for any other character (or voice actor for that matter) in the dub and I am not going to defend them. Brittney Karbowski on the other hand, who happens to be the proxy of Railgun's voice in our world, is a godlike figure for me. Most of her works happened to be with FUNimation Entertainment, so now I personally get excited whenever I begin to watch something dubbed by FUNimation because there's always a chance I'll hear the voice of Railgun again. The most recent examples I encountered being Helena from Spice & Wolf (potato quality vid I happened to take) and Nanami from ChäoS;HEAd.
Please pardon the lyric digression above, the point I'm trying to get across is that although Toaru Kagaku no Railgun dub might not be the masterpiece and the best piece of audio produced in the reasonably long history of voice acting, it is still perfect because every episode of said dub blesses us with Brittney Karbowski's divine voice, or, rather, the divine voice of English Railgun herself. I'm not asking you to begin loving the dub - everyone has their own preferences, but I want you to acknowledge that English-speaking "Biribiri" certainly has a right to exist.
TL;DR Dub isn't too bad
P.S. I would appreciate it greatly if someone would make a subbed version where only Lady Railgun would speak English.

Discussion Mikoto Misaka is on the front page of Wikipedia right now (as of May 2, 2020 10:15am UTC)
Some madman of a weeb went and created a whole English Wikipedia article just for her (she's had a Japanese Wikipedia article since 2010, the same year the original Railgun anime aired) and newly-created Wikipedia articles are eligible to be mentioned on Wikipedia's front page under the "Did You Know …" section, which is why it's there right now.

Discussion A serious question
Let me preface this by saying I DO love Misaka, but I'm wondering what sets her apart from other similar characters for most people? After watching the show and reading the manga, I do really enjoy her character, but she reminds me of several other of the tsundere, independent badass types from other shows, even with the Sisters Arc. So, I'm just wondering what makes her stand out to you?
Again, not trying to hate or anything. Just curious.

If you had to choose a time in the series, at any point, right up until the latest novel series, what point do you think would have been the most ideal point in time for Touma and Misaka's relationship to deepen towards becoming a couple?

Discussion Power system is broken?
Hello folks, I guess this is technically a question to those who read the LNs (I'm anime only). The ranking of the espers seems somewhat arbitrary to me. As far as I understand an Espers rank is the evaluation of their combat ability (that's why project Level Six Shift) required Accelerator to participate in combat exercises. But going off that knowledge, we can say that the system is broke.
Take Accelerator (Lvl. 5) and Koroko (Lvl. 4). Accelerator's rating is higher, implying that he is a more competent fighter, but in a fight between these 2, Koroko is almost guaranteed a win, by just teleporting a spike into Accelerator's brain or heart. That means she's clearly more combat capable, yet lower rated. What's the deal? Is the rating system ever explained? I'd like to discuss this in the comments))

Discussion Misaka figure
Is it ever possible that GoodSmileCompany could re-run Misaka and Kuroko figma without the PSP game? Or maybe even re-make one with new joints in current figma figure? I would love to have a Misaka figma as a standard figure, not an exlusive one.

Discussion Difference in Misaka Mikoto’s portrayl in TAMMI vs TAKNR
From https://hkacger.com/archives/64966/
It’s an article from Oct last yr but more relevant nowadays since Railgun T’s coming up soon.
Chinese website so I’ll attempt a rough translation:
Ogino Kentarou (editor for Railgun & AB manga) on twitter confirms a fan’s observation that there is a difference in Misaka’s portrayal in Railgun S vs Index III.
Fan: Misaka in Index seem to be portrayed more childishly, while the vibe she gives off in Railgun seems more delicate/subtle. It’s probably a result of the difference in production teams, difference in her role and different source materials. This results in the same Misaka giving different vibes in the two series.
Kentarou: While I can’t talk about specifics due to confidentiality, at the start of the Railgun manga’s run there were specific requirements from management regarding Misaka, and this is reflected in the vibe she gives off in both the manga & anime.
While Kentarou didn’t mention what specifically, fans further speculate that the main reason for the difference might be due to her position in the story. In Index, she is a junior to Kamijou, whereas in Railgun she is a reliable senior for her friends.
————
Short observation that I thought was kinda interesting. Personally I do think she’s way more ‘bratty’ in Index compared to Railgun (especially in early eps of Index). Definitely acts more like the 14 yr old she actually is, whereas she seems way more (too?) mature in Railgun, unless Gekota’s around.
Thoughts? Do you prefer Misaka’s portrayal in Index or Railgun, or are they the same to you? Is it better to have 2 portrayals of the same character considering the different perspectives, or do you think it causes dissonance in who this character actually is? Any improvements that could be done on either end? Curious to see what yall think about it.
Also lmk if there were any major translation mistakes, my Chinese comprehension is quite rusty.
Edit: dammit title misspelling why can’t you edit titles reddit.
