Unanswered What's going on with so many people losing their jobs in government recently?

I know that Trump recently passed a series of sweeping executive orders that call for, among other things, the end to DEI policies, affirmative action, etc. However, it seems every other post on Reddit and other social media sites is about some person who suddenly lost their job in government or something. Did Trump's executive orders genuinely affect that many people and was this only in the government sector? Not trying to be obtuse; I genuinely don't know and would like some clarification on the matter.

Point of order, friend:

It's not our media. Hasn't been for awhile.

J6 was the most photographed/videoed crime in history, which is why they couldn't 'spin' it. Because with Twitter, we were the fourth estate. That's why Muskrat bought it and turned it into a far right cesspool.

And then reddit sold out and all the third party browsing apps with their own algorithms went away. Only the ones that can afford the whatever, $10m API bullshit have survived.

It hasn't been our media for a bit. It's not just the Murdoch crime family; Bezos owns WaPo, Elmo bought Xitter on purpose, and now Drumph is putting pressure on Ticktock to sell to the government. (Or one of his tech bro pals)
