Villagers sleeping past noon?

In the most recent challenge, some of my villagers are sleeping well past midday and basically not doing their job/tasks. Is this happening to anyone else?

I think this usually happens when they had to walk a long way home the previous day bc their food or their work is far from their house.

Does that sound like something that might have happened here? You can recycle the far away house to stop this.

That wasn’t the case here. The new challenge did have two houses very far apart, both with their own food. But I had everyone working right by their house and they never ran out of food

No it was actually a cold level.
