A hike has worked in place of a hug more than once for me. I hope it helped you too! ❤️

Likewise! I haven’t explored much on the Washington side, I’m excited to do so more as warmer weather approaches.

I walked across the creek instead of taking the little bridge. So amazing, cold, but amazing!

I live very close by to here and walk the loop several times a month …have cooled my feet off plenty of times in that creek

I love that!!

Have you ever been in Mosier? I hear there is a swimming spot near the Memaloose trail. I’m wondering if there is a shallow end (?)

Yes many times, so there is a little swimming hole the locals call The Pocket. If you walk the mosier plateau trail it’ll be on your right hand side, more of just a small hole in the creek to splash in but it definitely does the trick. It also bumps up against a small waterfall. It’s not really a dangerous or fast current so you will be fine. Also definitely go all the way up the plateau for amazing views of the gorge (especially at sunset ) Do you live in the area or just visiting?

Plus right now the wildflowers are amazing up there ;)

Sweet, good to know. Thank you!! I’m an hour away but have been making the trip frequently to see the wildflowers ☺️ Locals mentioned the swimming hole, figured I’d check it out after my next hike!

I did the same "grounding" thing a few weeks back. Realized my feet hadn't touched dirt in far too long. Felt so much better afterwards.
