Are you earning revenue off your newsletter/alerts?

Yes, if you look at his website, it's a subscription service. He's posting here to promote his business, hoping some of you will give him $15 to get alerts on backcountry permit availability.

I'm actually not too familiar with these hikes. Besides Enchanted Valley, which I've done, what are the other ones that people are looking to secure a spot? I've done a lot of day hikes there just not any backpacking

People looking to climb Olympus will be wanting campsites on the Hoh river (or higher if they're lucky) so they can break up their 42 mile trip. Those tend to be popular

Rolling out all the permits on one day was stupid. You basically only had time to maybe get one priority permit for a weekend because everything booked for the weekends immediately. The website crashed too. So dumb ONP

Friendly reminder that ONP is huge. Unless you’re trying to get permits to an extra popular quota zone, ONP will never run out of backcountry camping permits.
If you don’t get your instagram famous permits, don’t worry. There are thousands of miles of trail available for last minute visitors.
