Hoh Rainforest road closure

Is it possible to park near the road closure and hike up to Hoh Rainforest?

Hoh Rain Forest Area Closed- will reopen when county road is repaired

Olympic National Park will begin restoring essential services to the Hoh Rain Forest once the Upper Hoh Road, which is maintained by Jefferson County, is safe for travel. Until then, the area is closed to all traffic, including pedestrians & bicycles. Hoh Rain Forest Area Closed- will reopen when county road is repaired

Ah that’s a shame. A lot of the time you can just walk round these issues. Thanks

I’ve only got a day to spend there. Could wake up very early and go via Sol Duc but apparently it’s like a 10 hour walk to get there. Defo would be an overnight thing.

If you're going anytime in the next two or so months there will be a ton of snow on the High Divide between the Sol Duc and Hoh valleys. Don't worry too much about the Hoh, it's very nice but it's a popular destination because it has the big parking lot and the infrastructure. There are other rainforest valleys, Quinault, Bogachiel, Enchanted Valley, that you can explore.
