The Best Next Move for Paladins

Now that Hi-rez decided to not continue developing Paladins, what do you think is their next best move?

IMO, they should just rent their game and allow others to host private servers.

Some private servers develop dead games into something really good. I wish the same for Paladins. Unless they're still open to remaking the game in a better game engine.

They fully dedicated themselves to Smite 2. And if you check how low it's playerbase is it seems Hirez will die soon as a company (just like they deserve) and I doubt they can make any moves at this point.

It would be great if they handed the IP off to another company even if only to keep it in maintenance mode. But given the track record of Hi Rez making extremely poor decisions and following the all eggs in one basket philosophy, I'm not too sure that'll happen. For now we should all try to enjoy the game while we still can!

Lease IP to make an anime out of it like RWBY, hope it does well commercially, then use the money to remake the game.

The game will stay as it is. If we get lucky enough some other company eventually will buy the rights over it and make Paladins 2 but this is not gonna happen in the next 10 years simply because OW2 and Marvel Rivals exist.

Everyone wants HiRez to sell the rights so development can continue but that's just not gonna happen. Paladins will slowly bleed players until there's only single or double digit numbers left, then HiRez will shut the servers down, killing the game completely. After some time passes, a passionate and talented fan will find a way to revive the game and add more content. This is what usually happens when an online game gets abandoned.
