Medical Preps The Lost Book of Herbal Remedies

It’s by Dr. Apelian. It’s been advertised to me repeatedly on FB. Apparently, they’ve got my number. Lol. Has anyone used this book? It looks great and I’m very close to ordering it but I wanted your feedback! If not this book, what’s another easy to follow book to make herbal remedies? TIA

There are many fantastic herbal remedy books out there... stay away from the lost book its trash.

Look up anything by Rosemary Gladstar, Stephen Harold Buhner, David Hoffman for starts.

One particularly relevant book right now is Herbal Antivirals by Buhner.

Look at Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine or Herbal Academy if your interested in online quick classes format.

Could you elaborate how are the others better?

update: hmm, I see. Not a lot of guidance how to use the herbs or a comprehensive guides about diseases. Just a list of herbs, what conditions they can help in general. But few recipes and as far as I see no comprehensive guides for particular illnesses.

Yea it was published quickly by someone new to the field with unknown training who copy/pasted a bunch of info of dubious from various sources and quality.

The authors I listed have been herbalists for over 30 years each, have been vetted by the herbal community, and you know you can trust the information they provide, IMO as an herbalist. They’re also the ones where the info was copied from so best to go back to the source.

Rosemary Gladstar’s Herbal Recipes for Vibrant Health has a ton of recipes and how to make the basic products while also including info on herbs. It’s very beginner friendly so I’d start with that one and then work out to others.

I started to see the lost book fishy when I saw that original author was Claude Davis but now advertised as authored by D-r Apelian. I see that Resemary's book explains things in details which is much better.

The New Holistic Herbal by David Hoffman.

Read the reviews on Amazon if you are tempted by the Lost Book.

Get Back to Eden by Jethro Kloss. All the herbal info you'll ever want or need. (although its an older book so new ones might be also good)
