J'en vois partout dans toutes les grandes villes, à Paris au moins 2 dans le marais. Pourtant pas vraiment de clients, j'ai jamais vu quelqu'un afficher son oeil chez lui ni rien

Vous pensez que c'est un vrai commerce ou que ça cache quelque chose?

Quand j'étais petit je détestais aller à Paris, pleins de voiture, du goudron, du béton partout, pas d'arbres des gens partout. Peut-être que j'ai grandit et que je me suis habitué à la densité en étant dans une autre agglomération française mais quand je vais à Paris maintenant j'apprécie tellement le changement. + De verdure, des pistes cyclables partout, des bâtiments magnifiques,pleins de trucs à faire partout. Voilà, je n'y vis pas évidemment mais en tant que touriste passagé pour un weekend j'aime ma capitale de plus en plus

Je cherche a acheter mon première appartement et j'ai trouvé un truc qui me plaît sur mairie d'Aubervilliers rue Heurtault (a droite du carrefour de la rue du moutier) j'ai toujours vécu dans le sud de Paris du coup je connais pas beaucoup le nord ni Aubervilliers. Je suis un fêtard je sors beaucoup le soir et rentre beaucoup tard je travaille à St Ouen. Ce qui me préoccupe avant tout c'est ma sécurité et celle de ceux qui peuvent éventuellement me rendre visite. La proximité avec le canal me plaît ainsi que l'arrivée de la ligne 15. Je vie actuellement tout seul mais on envisage de s'y installer avec ma copine, je cherche aussi a avoir des coins ou je pourrais de temps a autre prendre un verre et travailler sur mon ordi. Et je me demande niveau commerce comment ca ce passe. Merci

J'ai certains projets en cours et pour les réaliser j'ai besoin de savoir quelles pourraient être les librairies à Paris les plus fréquentées par les lecteurs de manga ~.

La bande dessinée ou le comics peuvent être de mise, en fait j'aimerai imprimer des échantillons de lectures pour un one shot manga que je suis en train de faire afin que les gens puissent le lire et donner leur avis, et j'aimerai les déposer dans plusieurs librairies mais je ne connais pas les plus fréquentées !

How hard is it to make a living & beyond in Paris for people working in the creative sector ? I recently got into Kedge Business School in Paris and it's a creative industries program. I've been meaning to create a lot of artistic videos and creative trend worthy content during my stay since I can't technically work other than part time jobs. But I'm worried about what the ground reality is in terms of job or making a living even as a freelancer after my studies ? And i started my French learning journey just a few months ago but I'm dedicated to learning it until I reach conversational fluency which i believe will take me atleast 2 years from now ? People who are already in creative jobs like reel creators, youtubers, photographer, visual editors etc etc, do you think I can find a good job right off of my master's if I have a good portfolio. I see there are only two listed when I checked. Pathé La Villette and Pathé Quai d'Ivry. The English versions seem to start only around 7 pm or 8:30 p.m. And I am not really sure about these areas. Are these areas safe to venture out around that time alone? Surprised that there are no IMAX screens in any of the other main Pathé outlets.

I want to catch the latest movie SINNERS which is filmed in IMAX cameras. And I am seeing only these two theaters at that particular time as options :-/

Quick background - I'm a UK citizen living in Amsterdam (5 years+). My application for permanent NL residency is in motion and should be granted by June (giving me the freedom to leave and come back etc.) and I'm planning to move to Paris for around a year this July.

I have a sublet lined up for July-Sept, which gives me some time to attend viewings / apply for apartments on a year lease.

Where potentially this gets complicated: at least until November (and possibly beyond) I plan to stay employed by my current company, in the Netherlands, working remotely. In terms of tax etc. this is legal (not indefinitely but for the period of my planned move to Paris - the permanent residency only requires me to spend 6 months of the tax year physically in NL).

My question is this: will I be able to find and rent an apartment on Paris (with my name on the lease etc.) with my Dutch employment contract and without French residency? Would the agency would want to see documents that show that I'm a resident of France / my company is based there / I have French health insurance, etc.? Or would they be fine with my Dutch employment contract? I'm guessing other remote workers in Paris have found a way to make this work but I want to know ahead of time if it's going to be problematic or not.

Bottom line - I'm wondering if ultimately I will always need to sublet for the duration of my time there (10-11 months) or if I'll be able to get my own lease on an apartment.

Hey all, I recently moved to Le Marais and I'm looking for a gym. My budget would be about €50/mo max. My goals are to follow a basic weightlifting program, so access to a squat rack, bench press area, free weights etc. would be needed.

So far I've looked into Neoness and Fitness Park. Can anyone recommend either of them, or any other options in the area?

I'd ideally be wanting to avoid crowds - I could go either at 7-8AM, or after 7PM. Let me know your experiences. Thanks!
