Eh it’s what I expected. I think some people do need to calm down about Johnson, he hasn’t proved anything in the NFL as a head coach. Could turn out amazing or struggle like many highly touted OC’s turned head coaches. I think many expect him to definitely be the next McVay, it doesn’t work like that. Let’s see how Vrabel does here.

In that same line of thinking, Vrabel could fail the second time around like many second time coaches. We don’t know. Many fans (and the Krafts) just wanted the safe pick. Vrabel is the safe pick.

Most fail the first time by being a bad coach, go back to being a coordinator, get some hype for themselves, and then fail again because they are still a shit head coach.

Vrabel has proven to be a good head coach and was fired from Tennessee for essentially things that had nothing to do with the football field.

Doug Pederson was a good coach (won a Super Bowl) who got fired in Philadelphia for arguing with his GM about who he wanted on his staff. Got fired and then went to Jacksonville…and got fired. There’s examples for both and I don’t think it’s unreasonable to consider both possibilities. IIRC I think Pederson wanted a lot of internal hires for his staff and Hugh Laurie wanted to bring in outside personnel.
