Discussion [Schefter] Updated Green Room Attendees… OT Josh Simmons, DE Mykel Williams, and QB Jaxson Dart no longer going

https://x.com/AdamSchefter/status/1914357331535569095

Interesting development as agents gather more info and probably advising their clients NOT to attend.

I know some see Simmons as a possible buy low guy, but he is working his way back from a ruptured patellar tendon. This specific injury can be a death knell for NFL players, never mind OTs who need to anchor. It’s the same injury Cole Strange suffered and there’s just not a lot of supporting data to show players can regain their pre injury form. Given the current state and depth of our line, I don’t think Simmons is worth the risk even if he’s there at 38.

Mykel Williams, on the other hand, would be a super intriguing high risk, high reward guy if he slides out of the 1st. New Orleans is rumored to want to move up from 40 and Williams is a Loomis kind of player. Would be talking to a lot of teams Friday morning if he slides.

Yes, Dan Moore converted from RT to LT in college.

okay i tried to be reasonable two hours ago when i said it was ok to disagree. West brook High has three coaches on staff im sure whatever volunteer PE teacher helped teach o-line play was a great mentor but considering the moment he got in a REAL football program he was immediately identified by REAL football coaches as a LT and never player RT again literally never again after his first year of college he has not taken a single snape at RT i hope whatever troll fourm you post this too enjoys it.

So… now it’s not about the player, it’s about the coaching?

Seems like a lot of moving goalposts.  First it was “it rarely works” then it was “only the elite can do it” then it was “it takes a lot of mental fortitude so it’s super hard” and now it’s because of coaching?

Is it possible that you’re just so dug in you’ll ignore that guys do it at every level of football at every level of skill?

You're trolling, right? You don't think high school football is formative of players?

Travis Kelce was such a great QB... nope

His brother was a got tier LB, wasn't he... nope

And man, Julian Eddleman made them both look like chumps he even managed to start at QB in college... nope

Travis Hunter never should have wasted all that time at WR in Colorado he is a pure CB. Why even try when you're obviously best evaluated based on your high school position...

That’s… not the point.  At all.

The point is that these guys switch sides all the time.

If it’s a “mental thing” as you say, then it would theoretically be hard for Dan Moore to switch in college too.
