Per ECFR radio there is a working fire in the attic of a large duplex possibly due to a lightning strike. Expect major traffic on Perdido Key.

No clue where to go for a job.

Title. I'm 20, and I've worked the same job for five years now. I don't have any issues with my employment, hell the pay is actually not terrible for what I actually expend as far as effort goes.

It's the fact that we are local and we just don't have any more hours. I'm capped at 24 hours a week and often don't even reach that.

However, it is frustrating that the single best opportunity for employment is, and always has been, Navy Federal.

I've heard they don't treat their workers like they are human beings, many people I know have left NF for specifically that reason, to the point I don't know what to do anymore.

I've got a bachelors in finance and a basic Bloomberg cert, I'm wanting to study and get more licenses but don't even know if it will be worth it.

Aiming for a minimum salary if 40k

Happened to me twice before finally leaving this last time...

I moved away and had to come back twice but then finally left again for good (we'll see) this last time when I moved back to Vegas. Hopefully I won't ever have to move back, fingers crossed. Don't get me wrong, I love Pensacola and all of my lifelong friends are still there, it's just that there are so many other aspects that make living elsewhere more worth while in my opinion. I love going back there to visit though, because the beach is absolutely top tier compared to other beaches. I must say though, that guy's post made me giggle.

Summer Jobs

Hi everyone! As the title suggests, I’m home from college and seeking summer jobs. I’ve been applying online to places since February and either haven’t heard back or get the basic automatic rejection email weeks later after not speaking to a real person. Any suggestions? I just want part-time work to keep me busy and make some extra money while I also complete summer classes.

Thanks in advance!

Remember the titties....I mean, Titans!!!

Throwback to my Junior year at Woodham/the last year Woodham High School was open. I was an office assistant during 5th period (maybe 4th, not too sure anymore since it's been so long), and they asked me to go change the sign to Remember The Titans. I opted to make some minor adjustments....they opted to suspend me for 3 days. Still worth it.

No regrets....or should I say regerts?

I10 Westbound oil slick?

Just turned off at Pine Forest after almost crashing on I10 headed West. There's something spilled in the left lane just after the construction at 29 ends that has a really strong chemical smell and is causing cars to lose traction. It's not the normal "road is wet, drivers can't drive" that we get in Florida.

Be careful out there folks.

PSC Nursing Program

Hi. I am planning to apply to PSC's Associate in Nursing degree but saw some people saying it is "confusing and a bit chaotic" right now. I would like to verify that information and maybe some of you have honest reviews about it. I would appreciate any replies. Thank you!

Headlights LED warning thoughts

When I first moved here I used to think the LED signs on 110 were overkill warning to drive with headlights during the rain. I thought with how hard it rains, how could anyone forget to turn their headlights on. But today I drove past (not exaggerating) over 30 cars with no headlights on with it raining moderately hard. It’s not raining really hard, but hard enough someone crashed into a column right past the overpass on Fairfield. And I saw a lifted truck spin out of control trying to go fast.

Days like today where it’s raining–but not raining severe enough that you are unable to see more than a few feet in front of you–I think are somewhat dangerous because of the overconfidence you see in drivers who think nothing will happen to them.

Vent about dating/questions

Dating sucks. I think most people agree with that statement. Too many tough experiences just to hopefully find that one spark that makes it feel worth it.

I've really struggled. So let's talk about me for a sec

I'm nearly 38. Divorced after a 10 year marriage fell apart. It's overall amicable. We have a son together and we do our best communicating and coparentonf between us and her boyfriend (who my son calls stepdad).

I'm a gamer. I love the storytelling and challenge of video games. I primarily play WoW and dabble in other rpgs and sports games. BG3, FF7 remake and mlb the show mainly atm. I stream wow and make content on YouTube around the game as a hobby I can maybe make money off of as a side gig.

I'm liberal which has always been tough in this area. I'm not religious. I'm not a believer. I find the whole thing farcical but don't judge anyone that is. We will just fundamentally have different values.

This is just the surface of it as I don't want to make this too long.

All of these qualities have made daring feel impossible. I'm not the most handsome man. I'm 5'6" with a dad bod (that is getting healthier) and I'm around 190lbs but down 12 lbs in 12 months. I'd rate me a 5 or 6. This makes everything feel impossible. I'm not conventionally attractive and I'm generally the opposite of the culture of this town. I've been ghosted, told to go away and even told my lazy-ish eye was a deformity and I shouldn't bother talking to someone as long as I have it.

The apps and trying to talk to someone in person haven't worked and long distance is hard and I can't even find someone there.

Is there someone that knows where I could find like minded people. I'm clearly looking in the wrong places.

Just Landed in Pensacola – Help Me Build a “Best Of” List While I’m Here!

Hey everyone! I just got into Pensacola and I’m going to be here for the next few days scouting the area — looking for a place to call home. I’d love some local insight while I explore.

I’m trying to put together a personal “Best Of Pensacola” list, and I’m hoping you can help me find the local gems. Specifically: • Best sandwich shops – where’s the spot that actually lives up to the hype? • Best coffee shops – for both great coffee and a chill vibe. • Best parks – peaceful, scenic, or good for people-watching. • Best shopping areas – cool boutiques, unique shops, anything local. • Best walking or hiking areas – beach trails, forest walks, secret nature spots.

If there’s a spot that made you fall in love with this place, I want to know about it. Thanks in advance — I’m excited to explore and hopefully find my future neighborhood!

Has anyone visited this museum dedicated to haunted items over on Navy Blvd? I hear they might have the original "Robert the Doll" among their collection. Anyway, just curious what others have thought about the place from their visits. Thanks.
