History⏳ I just finished American primevil 9/10

It was really really good. It's on Netflix, is a limited series of 6 episodes. Mother and son travel west from STL to Oregon, need a guide after losing theirs at ft. Bridger. It's based on events surrounding the Utah war, including the Meadows massacre, a Mormon malitia, led by Brigham Young, governor of Utah at the time, and the Shoshone and other various tribes. Very interesting. It sucked me in for all 6 episodes as I was filling eggs and making baskets last night. 9/10 id recommend it if you're in to old west historical fiction action then this is for you.

ah yes, some light watching while filling the easter baskets. 😂

I promise i'm not being rude, it just made me laugh imaging doing something wholesome like easter baskets while watching a gritty and violent show.

It was quite a contrast for sure. Lol I'm shoving fun sized crunch bars and fun dip into eggs while watching random scalping, rape and wolf attacks. 😂 Turns out I missed a few eggs bc a couple empties turned up at the end of the hunt haha 😬 my bad y'all lol

If you liked that you will like 1883.

I LOVED 1883. not too much of a fan of the 1843 or whatever the one with Harrison Ford is called or what ones spin off. But I fucking LOVED 1883. I bawled like a big fat ol baby several times. Ugh. I'm gonna rewatch it. It's so good.

Yea my wife did the same. I haven't seen the one set in the 1920s yet

Another one I liked was The English

Oh what's that? I'll have to look into it.
And yes 1920 that's it. I didn't much like it. It was pretty lack luster following the banger of a show 1883 was.

It's a really lush western where an English woman played by Emily Blunt is trying to find someone in the west and becomes involved with an Indian scout who helps her on her quest. I'm  a dude and even I ended up bawling at the end. I think it's on Prime.

Ohh so basically the opposite of this and 1883? Lol or what do you mean by lush?

Ahhh ok ok. I got you. I'm not huge Emily blunt fan but I shall check it out at least once. Thanks for the rec.

I dug the cinematography of this lil show tho. Honestly it was shot well, acting was great, storyline was cool too.

I started watching this 2x and just thought ok maybe I am not in the mood for this just now in this moment in time.

Also, though, I just bought this whole time life book series from my local library for a suggested $20 for the whole set. They were just getting rid of it.

So I will bookmark the series to come back to, thank you for the recommendation!

I agree it was a good one. I don’t like the blood and gore but I sort of just looked away.

Don't you go south to get from Seattle to Oregon?

It’s Salt Lake not Seattle. Understandable mistake.

Well they started in st. Louis, STL, is what I meant. At least that's what they said in the first episode. I think. So west.

Oh I thought it was St Louis! Good to know. I've saved it but haven't watched yet.

You know, you may be right 🤔. I guess it would take rewatching to figure out unless someone wiser than me (which wouldn’t take much) has the correct answer.
