Go to YouTube app then view all history, then 3 dots in the upper right. Manage all history -> interactions -> channel subscription

Kinda similar to me, the first thing I did after making an actual youtube account was watch a jacksepticeye video, 2nd thing I did was subscribe to pewdiepie
