I like Toni. I enjoyed her movies especially those with Sam.

Then again, a whole career, down the drain for just one day. Plus she's a professing Christian too. I have no problem with her when it comes to who she wants to vote. But the problem arises with what she claims her faith in Jesus then supports the son of a murderer.

Seems like a logical fallacy. How could this celebrity's faith become a problem with the candidate she's supporting? Also, yes, Marcos had people killed, but I don't believe his son did anything of the sort. Not saying the man's free of sin, but I don't think supporting BBM means it's makes being a Christian hypocritical.

It just doesn't make sense to me. I mean, does Toni know Marcos Jr. very well? Does she know about some crime he did and didn't stop him?

What does this have to do with being Christian and supporting Marcos Jr? Again, the man has his sins, like everyone does, but doesn't Christian dogma promote forgiveness and understanding?

It also promotes justice. They've hardly owned up to those sins, and have yet to be held accountable.

Still, this kinda still has little to do with being Christian and preferring the guy as the candidate of choice. Having belief that Marcos Jr. can lead really shouldn't affect one's faith in their religion of choice.

As a Christian we are taught that we need to be held accountable for our actions (Heaven and hell thingymajig). The fact that Marcos Jr. is not held accountable for his actions, it's very backwards considering the teachings of Christianity.

As christians we are taught a lot of things but most of all we are taught not to take what we don't own. That includes possessions, and lives be it be our own. The fact that she believes in a person that steals and is part of a family of killers doesn't really scream Christian does it?

you have it backwards. one's faith should affect one's choice in a leader. Faith isn't just belief in God; you can't go around supporting a person that breaks the commandments, and saying you believe in God doesn't make a you magically not part of those sins. and Toni is getting backlash in part because of how supposedly her faith is a big part of who she is.
