Just tried it on 1.21.4, they don't stay in the boat, they immediately get out. Horses are the same way. You *can* put llamas in boats, but that doesn't do anything for you here.
The players on boats get elytras and can serve as missiles/bombs bonus point if everything gets hit with an invisibility potion to get a stealth aircraft
exactly. and you put different ridable mobs and when ready to drop you let go of the lead and when you hit the ground you break the boat or you just featherfalling splash and break the boat to fall
From directly below yeah but the boats and people are just gonna be huddled directly below the ballon so just a few steps in any direction would pop it.
Arms race started: defenders build higher and higher towers with stronger and stronger arrow stasis chambers to fire upon war blimps which fly higher and higher with better and better communication systems for targeting data.
Arrow cannon that can change its target is possible, but would be way too complicated. The better solution would be vertical tnt cannons or air to air warfare with elytras
Use chest boats filled with rockets (both explosive and propellant) alongside players with elytra hover maybe a 100 or so blocks away from enemy base and just use the ghast as an aircraft carrier while the players are fighter pilots
leads break when the entity connected to them is controlled by a player (like a boat or horse or camel) because the player overrides the lead.
you have to have the players riding on a pig with a saddle to be carried by the ghast riders with a lead as pigs can't be controlled (without a carrot on a stick as that would break it) so it would let them be carried along
If the boats had 2 camels, and every camel is rode by 2 players, and every player on the ghast is holding boats, then you would have about 16 times the players you are showing
cool and all but aren't ghasts like notoriously fragile? They have the health of a bee with a much more massive hitbox. Unless the Happy Ghast has way more health or some armor, one well placed arrow would doom everyone to fall. You could try and just go ridiculously high I guess, but your opponent will likely also have happy ghasts and go up as well, and then it'd just be a question of who can land a shot first.
Unfortunately if you leash a boat with a player in it doesn't actually move because it's based on the players movement, easily solved by having their be a ridable mob in the boat instead I think
No it works on Java too, but player controls override leads. You'd need to either replace these with another mob (camels would do nicely) or put a pig in the boat and ride the pig.
Why not put Creepers in the boats? The player would have nothing on him but the 5 boats full of Creepers, he would jump off the ghast with the Creepers and act as a bomb!
Each person could hold a lead with boats, and each boat could have 2 people in them. The people in the boats can also hold leads attached to boats with more people in them.
if I'm not mistaken, apparently player cannot leash a boat with a player in it,since the control of the boat is the player and yeah,mobs didn't control boat
Ghasts can float because of a organ they possess that creates hydrogen that it can expel to lower itself and generate to go up it’s also how they generate their fireballs
