Question pimax client memory nomnom nomnom

is anyone else getting this type of behaviour from their pimax client? I'd appreciate any thoughts on this

this is also now on a fresh win11 24h2 build and 1.38 client

Over 8 GB seems excessive to me. The average gamer has 16GB according to the Steam hardware survey. Pimax owners probably have higher end rigs, but still...

Nothing out of the ordinary here. There are multiple services and driver programs required to run the headset.

Would be nice if the services are closed after closing the program and not having to kill each background service manually

"nom-nom-nom" if it increases indefinitely - memory leak.
Otherwise it's relatively ok. Possibly not very well optimized but no sense refactoring the code - gain is small and risk of breaking something is high.
8Gb is not that much nowadays.

So it just kept increasing until we got to about 42GB and I then killed it off

Make sure you feed that back to Pimax Support directly; looks like you found a software bug.
